The draw card 7 drop is terrible. Average case may not even be one card since you're likely the slow deck.

I don't understand how citynoise thinks that there isn't a circa 50% chance that the opponent has an equal or greater target in their yard. Even when you're self milling, you'd need a significant disparity in cards to have a good chance at a best case scenario. 65%? So 35% of the time you may not even want to play your late game card? And when you do get parity, well, you're just essentially playing a late game 1/3 deathtouch whicu may or may not allow you to play a card first. Not close to good.

The ambush cat interested me at first. But adding a destroy most target grounded attacking creatures to jaces ingenuity doesn't quite push it over the line for me, especially since sometimes you have to wait and sometimes they have black removal. It is usually going to hit if they aren't in black though since there are what... 3 white instant removal spells that matter to it?

Jaces Ingenuity is a reasonably playable cube card, so I like getting a weird/fancy version of it.

Mirror Match is durdly but might be good enough. What are they going to do, not attack you when you hold up the mana?

The ceiling on Mirror Match is pretty high, but the probability of it getting anywhere near there is pretty low. Paying 6 mana for something that will most often amount to two Kill Shots or even a Fog is not my jam.

If I Mirror Match versus an opponent's Pelakka Wurm, do I get both the ETB life gain, and the LTB card draw when my wurm trades with theirs? If so, that seems pretty nice, especially for blue.

Mirror match is unreal value if you manage to catch an etb effect. Six mana... Ugh... Maybe? I would like to test just because it's so unusual

It's such a weird card to evaluate. Just imagine if they swing into you with a Flametongue Kavu and an Eternal Witness.... oh my goodness....

It's a very very interesting card and I can definitely see it having some funny interactions.

It feels very easy to play around though.... once you see it casted game 1.... I don't know... it might warrant a test for the reason Leelue stated.. it's just so damn unusual.

That card is an auto-include for me.

The more I look at it.. then fun factor might be too high to ignore.... It really can be a blowout...

I'm teetering on it... I'll probably just test it to find out.

Great Oak Guardian is absurd.

That's pretty sweet in a range of situations. Expensive but effective combat trick on its own against almost any creature heading your way. With some other creatures on the board you boost your team and untap against an incoming army. Instant speed impression of Overrun plus vigilance. At worst it is a body for a draw-go deck. It might not be amazing at each of those things, especially at 6 mana, but the flexibility makes it easy to play in many green decks.

Woah that tree really makes green something interesting. I hate overrun for being all or nothing, and this is very serious a replacement for a guy like me. It does so much.

Green is the worst colour and blue is second best imo. I'll have to test the tree for sure. If we don't get any more playables now ill still be happy.

But is it less/more effective than Shower of Coals?

Triple red is absolutely supportable. Meteor Volley and Great Oak Guardian are both auto-includes for me, and frankly I'm astonished that anyone could feel otherwise about either of them.

That card looks fun as ****.

I can see people not playing Meteor Volley. I don't think Meteor Volley is better than Shower of Coals and I understand someone not wanting two of these effects at 360 next to Slice and Dice.

I've enjoyed running (basically) every decent red sweeper -- Pyroclasm, Sulfurous Blast, Breath of Darigaaz, Slice and Dice -- at 540, and this is one more sweet effect for red control strategies. And still sweet for mono-red aggro, even, where it's a sorcery Lightning Blast with multi-kicker!

Green flash dude also looks insane.

Blue copy spell ALSO looks insane. Jeez. Gotta love the rarity system from EDH sets, which means that if two decks get the same crazy mono-colored effect then it'll become Peasant legal

Ohh, yes. This is shaping up to be much, much better than I would ever have imagined. Great Oak Guardian and Meteor Volley are insta-includes and I suppose Mirror Match is worth considering. Although at least for me, blue is pretty stacked at 6. (So is green, mind you, but there are more cards to cut there.) Meteor Volley likely replaces Flame Wave although I am entertaining the idea of keeping both.

I don't really see the meteor volley as an autoinclude, but it could be alright. Just that it is frequently a bad shower of coals bothers me.

Doesn't quadruple red make Flame Wave pretty much un-cubeable?

Does the fact that shower of coals needs threshold not often matter in peasant games?

The tree is nuts. That's about the only thing that really gets me going. I don't think Mirror Match will play out anywhere near as well, as often, as people would like.
