I think it's important to play more than the "ideal number" of key types of cards if you really want to support an archetype. When decks rely on certain types of cards coming together it pays to give them more opportunities to get the cards they need. I play more reanimation effects than I need for a good reanimator deck and I play more sac outlets than the 3 you'd need for an aristocrats deck (Carrion Feeder, Fallen Angel, Vampiric Rites, Maw of the Obzedat)
Yeah the Angel is honestly probably the worst of the 4 (Vampiric Rites is being used more as a sac outlet than the angel lately). I'd love to have a better option, maybe Husk is the card I want (but I've got so many black 3drops already).

Corpse Traders and Sadistic Hypnotist are some interesting sac outlets in black that don't cost 3. I've had them in briefly in the past and am looking at them again recently.

3 is steep for an effect I'd like to be able to trigger as many times as possible in a turn so I'm pretty cold on Corpse Traders. Sadistic Hypnotist doesn't have the onboard threat I expect of 5 mana cards and the ability is OK but not great.
E: interestingly the only rares at 4 or less mana I'd consider cubeing for sac effects:

Yeah I agree about the 3 being a pretty costly activation. The hypnotist really can insta-GG an opponent in the midrange/control matchup though depending on board state. If you wipe em out and have the hypnotist, a random 2/2, and a blood artist or something left that can be pretty brutal.
I dunno, just different sac outlets to think about.

I ran Deathreap Ritual for a while. It didn't do enough fast enough for its cost. I could see it being fine now with some more support for the deck seeing print recently. It was close to good enough so it probably is good enough now.
Fecundity is interesting. I don't like that your opponent can draw cards off it but in the full blown sacrifice deck (or against control period) it seems like it would be pretty good.

I think 2 per deck is the ideal number so I'd be very comfortable at 3 (@360). I'd never want more than 3 in my deck and I'd never want more than one aristocrats deck in my pool.
I'm just talking about the sac outlets, not support for the archtype in general.

I think the number is probably 2-3. So I'd be happy with 2 permanent-based sacrifice sources and 1 one-shot deal (Victimize, Fleshbag Marauder, etc.), thrilled with 3 permanent sources and underwhelmed at 2 permanent sources.
I think 3 repeatable sources at 360 is fine as long as you have some random one-shot deals going around too.

What about Dross Hopper? It doesn't stack super well with multiple things to sacrifice, but it does come down on curve, has 2 power and pseudo-evasion.

My Black & Silver Cube [360/Peasant/Draft It! EDH Decks: - Reya Dawnbringer // - Mistform Ultimus // - Balthor the Defiled // - Urabrask the Hidden // - Mirri, Cat Warrior
The problem with Dross Hopper is that in any other deck, it is worse than stuff that has built in evasion. I'd want more for my sacrifice effect than making it on par with something else I would have rather drafted.
Dross hopper only gives you a way to make things die. You still need something to care about things dying, and things to die. Offers no value on its own or even with just one of those pieces.
Compounding the risk into an aura I'd frightening, but it does give you haste on the burst damage. Unfortunately it sucks if they have a single creature that can block flying up.
