that "aura" actually seems pretty sweet. i think manifest will actually play pretty well, and flying+lifelink is strong (some people play gift of orzhova still i think?).
I think the thing to remember on these 'form' enchantments is that you need to hit something better than a vanilla 2/2 to get a good result. In the case of Lightform, even a 2/1 flyer is just worse than the 2/2 already is. So, I imagine the upside possibilities are at most 10/40 and could easily be down at 6/40. Of course, both a 2/2 double-striker for 2RR or a 2/2 flying, lifelink for 1WW are worth thinking about, but it's not all upside.
I don't think people should be "worried" about manifesting a needed land, awesome spell, etc. Just think of manifest as putting the top card of your library on the bottom, which you should never mind doing because your deck is shuffled.
Edit: just realized JovianHomarid made this exact point.
I like the black one the most and this is the one that will probably have the most staying power in my cube. White one could be interesting but will probably just be another a 3/1 for 2 with an upside that doesn't really matter (see Daring Skyjek). Blue one is super cool but hard to judge based on it's stats. It will end up in my cube for testing.
Wtf green one from color check cycle, does a 3/3 for 4 at uncommon really need to jump through hoops to get lifelink?
Also I don't think I'd cube 1WW for a 2/2 flying lifelinker, and that's what the manifest card will be about 75% of the time. It's definitely close, though.
As for that creature-wedge cycle: Wandering Champion seems pretty good. It's not fantastic but I think it's the best of the cycle. I'll probably find room for it. Marang River Prowler also seems pretty good. Just because it can come back and hits for 2. I'm glad he's unblockable/can't be blocked without the requirement of a black or green permanent. Battle Brawler is okay. At first I was pumped for him, until I remembered that Walking Corpse was a thing. Hungering Yeti doesn't excite me at all. Abzan Kin-Guard shoulda been 2G.
also, jeeeez. Wandering Champion's got some strong legs. He's kicking somebody/a zombie in half. I don't think many can do that.

I don't think this is true, The chance of hitting a creature is about 40-50%. In most of those cases it will be better than 2/2 flying lifelinker. Especially if you play white/green this card might be good enough.
1 - I don't think I've seen a 20-creature cube deck in years; 2 - hitting a creature is by no means a success.
My cube has 40 white creatures, about 15 of which are somewhere between actively bad (Elite Vanguard) to totally neutral (Banisher Priest) to rather mediocre (Cloudgoat Ranger, Custodi Squire, Mother of Runes) to un-morph with this aura.
So in a 15 creature deck -- again assuming just white creatures -- that means five or six "bad" creatures, plus of course 25 non creature cards. So about 75% misses....
Though I just realized hitting something like Pacifism is not exactly a miss... But O-Ring definitely is... Hmm.
Card is bad. I wouldn't pay 1WW for a 2/2 lifelink flier and having the occasional upside of, say, paying 4 mana to give it plus 1 stats doesn't sweeten the pot by that much.
A mechanic with no good cards doesn't mean the mechanic is weak. It just means development didn't push it.
(and we've only seen a handful of cards with the mechanic so it's hardly time to dismiss the entire mechanic lmao)
I liked fateful hour actually. It's just that the card itself has to be good without it. Gather the Townsfolk and Faith's Shield do work in my cube, though fateful hour has only been triggered once that I'm aware of.

Can you name all of the creature types with at least 20 cards? Try my Sporcle Quiz! Last Updated: 6/29/20 (Core Set 2021).
Sadly, same. I was really excited for the dash mechanic in C/U, but given that the uncommon game day promos tend to be pretty good, I'm imagining this is what Wizards views as one of the better/more playable dash creatures. I don't have a whole lot of hope for the mechanic now.

marang river prowler excites me because iirc we haven't had this effect at uncommon before. and i do love me some dredge...
Reassembling Skeleton comes very close.

Exactly what I was thinking.
We have been so spoiled with 2/1's for one in black the past few sets this is such a let down.
