I play some hearthstone now and then. I think I've amassed over 4k gold and 4k dust on my account.
I've also been playing a board/card game of my own creation that I'm going to publish soon, so if anybody is interested in that feel free to pm me for pdfs and rules.
Other than that, it's ssbm when I get the chance to play with other players although I'm still horribad at it, mostly because I haven't had a consistent playgroup.
As far as computer games go, League of Legends mostly with other random console 1 player games like Skyrim thrown in.
My group of friends are big into board games now so we're usually playing Settlers of Catan, Mage Knight, Lord of Waterdeep, Netrunner, etc on any given weekend.
I tried to get into Hearthstone but it just didn't click for some reason.
What's project M? I don't think I've ever heard of it.
I wanna try settlers of catan...
Project m is a fan mod of brawl to make it fun at high competitive play by making it play much more like a sequel to melee.

Oh nice. That would actually be pretty cool. Settlers is a pretty solid game. Great for both experienced/new players to board gaming.
Sooo who here plays other games? I'm sporadically active with League, Starcraft, and ssbm
League here too.
Also, huge fan of boardgames. Has anybody here played Arkham Horror? I just played it for the first time the other day and it was super fun (albeit fairly complicated).

ERMAGERD I love arkham. Have you played the new one? Eldritch Horror? It's pretty amazing. They made some really good changes.
When I can't get my Magic group together, my friends and I are usually playing board games of various kinds. Ticket to Ride is a popular choice since it's easy to learn and has a surprising amount of variety and strategy. 7 Wonders is a game that I like a lot that you all would probably enjoy; the idea of the game is that you're building one of the seven wonders of the ancient world, and the entire game is played in the form of a Magic-style draft.

7 Wonders is a really well designed game. It's all of the fun of drafting without having to play with your deck : ). It's also a fairly fast game and you can go through multiple rounds in a session.
I just moved into a house with some of my gaming buddies. Board games are quite a common occurrence around here. 7 Wonders, Arkham Horror, Cards Against Humanity, Carcassonne, etc. I'm thinking about buying Netrunner, but I'd like to try it before investing the money.
I also play League, albeit casually. Same screenname, incidentally. I dabble in StarCraft from time to time, but it's been a while since I actually worked up the gumption to ladder.
Also: Glad to see an off-topic thread for this community. Might be nice to get to know some of the Pauper guys.
i play lol pretty casually as well. just picked up hearthstone this week, have hardly played it. i just play random steam games that catch my fancy basically. board games are better though. i have dominion, king of tokyo, discworld: ankh-morpork, and bought munchkin the other day. other great ones i've played are settlers of catan, netrunner, 7 wonders, pandemic, bang!, risk legacy, and a few others that i can't remember off the top of my head. basically i try to play a bunch of everything, but don't really get a chance to actually play much other than video games haha.

.
Netrunner is pretty fun but it is only 2 players so if you're looking for a group game it wouldn't be that one. It is a really well designed card game though. We actually have a couple Netrunner leagues around where i live. If you ever need any recommendations or thoughts on games, I've played a number. Carcassonne is surprisingly fun for how simple of a game it is.
I got 33rd at apex. Could've don't better had I practiced but I don't play much anymore. So.. I guess I could've easily done worse as well.
Anybody know any short board/card games? I teach kids and we get like 10 minute breaks.
Kings of Tokyo would be perfect. It's really quick and easy enough for kids but complex enough for older players to be fun. It's a really simple dice game where you compete to destroy tokyo as monsters. It's also really fun : )
The games probably take a little longer than 10 minutes but you could easily lower the win point cap to make the games shorter without changing the game.

I bet they'd enjoy Love Letter. There's a set of 8 types of cards, some of which have multiples. You start with one card in hand, and every turn whoever's turn it is draws a card then plays one of the two from their hand. Depending on the card you play, you'll get to do some effect (look at someone's hand, trade hands with someone, guess what card someone has in their hand, etc.). The goal of the game is to be the last person standing at the end of a round. A single round goes very quickly, so you play a specified number of rounds that depends on how many players there are, though this is easily modified to fit whatever timeframe you have.
Love Letter as mentioned above is a great one for short periods of time.
EDIT:: Also Bang if it hasn't been brought up. It can take a while with a lot of people but it generally goes pretty quick once everyone knows the rules. It's a who's who kind of game like mafia, in a western setting. Involves guns and shooting a lot though. I know the child care center I worked at wouldn't have been ok with it, so I feel like noting.
Also, on the P:M note, I've really been wanting to get into it. I play with friends but they don't care enough to master any part of it. I've been looking for people in my area who do, and haven't found any, but apparently there's a tournament nearby on the 22nd of feb. I'll go, but don't have high hopes.
Although I am definitely not awful at it. I've watched and played melee for the majority of its competitive scene. I may have seen you on stream at apex, leelue, and just didn't know it was you. Unless you use the same name there. then I didn't see you.
I play league a lot. I had really high hopes at one point but school got in the way. My duo partner EvanRL went on to become Challenger last season and played in the Coke Zero tournament a few days back. Sucks to think about what I could be doing if I stuck with it. But priorities are priorities.

The only games I've been playing nowadays, besides MODO, has been Hearthstone and Path of Exile, and I really haven't been playing much of either.

They're like my favorite thing ever. Just ordered three yesterday, along with some cards for my Peasant+ Cube!
Nice! Which ones? My friends are a bit board game crazed these days. I think we have about 16 board games that we have to try and rotate through ><
League here too.

Its a funny enough game is, but add a touch of embarassment and it goes to new levels of funny.

As for my board game request, we are talking 9 year olds on average and 1v1 . The time restraint is a hard one.
