Yeah, they announced a couple weeks ago that they were calling off the shutdown, but most of the staff is leaving to MTG Nexus, so it'll be interesting to see how much discussion stays here and how much moves elsewhere.
I am currently working for both sites to help the transition go over smoothly as I know most of the senior staff is leaving as soon as we get Nexus live.
But I will not be one staff her forever as I plan to be fully moving to Nexus as we have a Cube designer planned and it will be an easier one-stop shop. Currently we are getting to start our organization over and make this things cleaner and have better flow. So I hope you all come check it out once it goes live but I will also still be here for the next few months.
A Reddit user (avacadro) was running people's cube lists through something fancy on Cubetutor? I dunno. What it did was compare you cube to similar cubes. It bought up the 15 most similar cubes to mine and gave me some sweet info. Was hoping you guys could look over it to give me insight. Like are any of the "Notable Omissions" huge (I will gladly add!) or are any of my "Atypical Inclusions" so bad they should be replaced (Looking at you Dawnfeather). I am currently updating my cube for MH1 and M20, so some of the Atypical cards were already on my chopping block, interestingly enough. I will post my potential swaps for both those sets here soon to get more eyes on it (it is already up on my cube thread).
Cubetutor has a normal function that lists the average cubes for each major cube type, and by size. It's not a premium feature.
Also, band together probably just hasn't been updated on enough lists.
Besides, there are probably a ton of zombie accounts now that are dragging the average cube lists into the past. slowing the avg list algorithm even more
I can't find this feature. Can you explain where I can find it?
edit: I found this (http://www.cubetutor.com/comparecubes/132849/494) but this does not compare my cube to similar ones, just to 'the average' 360 card peasant cube. Feels pretty pointless
Define similar?
The average 360 cube should be in aggregate the most similar for people. By definition.
If you want to compare to, say, my cube, I think you just need the cubetutor ID number for the cubes in question, which is that number at the end of the URL. My peasant number would be 274, for example. And my orzhov cube is 96360.
The guy was using something that was pulling info from cubetutor and doing things, rather than cubetutor itself doing things. He gave me the 15 most similar cubes to mine, which is something I don't think Cubetutor can do.
I want to do what Hasted here says. Actually compare my cube with cubes that have a lot of overlap in cards, not just format and cube size. My themes are different from other cubes. This system tells me that it's weird that I don't run Thunderclap Wyvern, while flyers just isn't a supported theme in my cube.
We used to have the Average MTGSalvation Peasant Cube thread, but it got deleted with the whole EU User GDPR law fiasco. It pointed to this cube: http://www.cubetutor.com/viewcube/123651. When it was active, I would use the cubetutor feature to compare my cube with it to see if there was anything I was overlooking.
Speaking of, is anyone planning to maintain such a list either here or on MTG Nexus? Is anyone planning to go to MTG Nexus? There hasn't exactly been much action over there, but it only recently opened. I know it's a lot of work, but the average cube is pretty useful.

I did the average MTGS cube last year that you're linking to. That thread got deleted when whatever happened with Curse that caused so many people to start posting under User-3566432 or whatever. Any threads started by those users were purged. I wouldn't mind doing it again this year (probably in Nov/Dec). I think the data gleaned from it is pretty valuable.
Awesome. I wasn't sure who had done it, but it was super useful (only have the link because I contacted a mod after the thread disappeared). Not that I want my cube to be a copy of the average, but looking at how many people ran certain cards helped me to evaluate them versus my own likes and biases.

Oh, yeah, totally. Mine is 360 and cuts are hard. This comparison opened my eyes to several cards that I wasn't running that probably deserved a slot at 360. I think the data is super valuable.
I did the original list and thus the thread, but all my posts were deleted when the ownership changed. I still have the 2017 versions of the lists on cubetutor if anyone wants to add them to a new thread.
So, is everyone staying here on Salvation? Is anyone planning to go to Nexus? There hasn't been any action yet in the Peasant Cube subforum over there yet (of course, most of what happens here is during spoiler season, and we just exited that).
Same. If Nexus gives me a reason to move, then I'll move, but for now I'd rather just stay here. Splitting the community and also giving myself yet another site to check each day doesn't sound very nice.
Also, there hasn't been much communication advocating for Nexus or giving us a reason to make the jump.
Hello all. I've been pretty active on the main cube forum, and I'm now building a smaller peasant (or mostly peasant) cube that'll be more portable than my beloved monstrosity. (Design perimeters: I'm tentatively going for 540 cards, and I intend to build it from non-valuable cards that I already own extra copies of, with a few cheap but necessary exceptions.)
I want to make a graveyard subtheme of a similar size across all five colors. Most of the colors are easy, but white is a little harder. I instantly set aside Oketra's Attendant because I love that card, and I'm pretty sure I have an extra Resurrection and maybe even a Breath of Life laying around. Apostle of Purifying Light seems like a good idea, though I don't have one. What are some good white cards that love the graveyard?
So I managed to get a full 8 for my Modern Peasant 360 cube tonight, first since the triple whammy of War of the Spark, Modern Horizons and M20 hit to shake up my cube.
all in all it seemed to go really well.
I kind of easily 3-0 with a White Tokens/counters deck, I didn't lose a game which I guess is a little concerning kind of, but then again it is my cube.
BW controlling, UW flyers and Almost Mono red 2-1ed. (UB controlling, UR spells, RG aggro and GB grind were the other decks). So a good balance of colours there.
I noticed that my players valued equipment a lot higher than I would, finding that I have so many good creatures that I struggle to find room for it, which is good since its good equipment but I rarely use it. The BW player in particular with his life linking deathtouch team managed to use them to punch through people with them.
So am getting a little concerned about the mass removal options in my cube to deal with the go wide strategy. White has none (Baird, Steward of Argive?). Blue has aetherize, Black drown in sorrow and crypt rats and red pyroclasm and BW Zealous Persecution (the MVP of the BW deck).
The problem is with modern peasant being so creature-based these cards don't get picked early and feel like sideboard cards. (also true of artifact and enchantment hate) It ended up that a lot of these cards ended up late picks that no one was interested in. do I need to increase how many I play so that even if player prefers to pick other cards they'll get some eventually?
Finally thoughts on Icy Manipulator?, The UB player was saying it just slows down a game without actually helping them win that its kind of just an ******** card that any deck can play
I used to sometimes record the decks that came out of my 8man drafts, but got lazy and now I just enjoy the game. Any chance you could recreate the decks here?
I've got a bit of time and I'm bored, so I'll thumb through your cube and see what thoughts come to mind, with an eye out for things against "go wide" strats. I'll likely make a comment about a card that isn't modern-legal, but I'll do my best to only mention modern-only cards.
BLACK Bone Shredder, Disfigure, and Snuff Out all deal with individual creatures to help with mass creatures. I dont think black needs much help with this (potential) issue you have.
RED
First thing, Fire ImpandFlametongue Kavu are both so good for control and aggro. Find a copy and slide 'em in (unless their omission was on purpose because of reasons).
The less popular Cunning Sparkmage can ping out tokens all day long. Block one, ping another for swag.
I also don't think red needs much help.
GREEN Wall of Blossoms blocks forever. As does Wall of Roots. The allstar Briarhorn is a great surprise blocker. Arborback Stomper's lifegain is nothing to scoff at. Delay the (maybe?) inevitable death by a turn, which could be the turn that saves you and leads you to win.
Fight cards like Epic Confrontation could see use in your cube if many creatures are a problem. I personally like Epic Confrontation because of it's 2cmc, despite it being sorcery. Clear Shot comes to mind as a card people like. I'm sure there are others.
MULTICOLOR Lyev Skyknight and Spire Patrol both provide a body and "remove" an attacker off for a turn. Haunter of NightVeil may make a ton of your opponents dudes 0/1 fliers. Ribbons of Night, kill a dude, gain some life, draw a card. So good. Obelisk Spider could potentially turn off go wide strats after 2 or 3 turns. Gelectrode (love this guy) can do a similar thing as Cunning Sparkmage, but with cheap counterspells and burn spells, could easily take out 3/3 or 4/4. Or a bunch of 2/1's and 1/1's. Get him up and protect him with counterspells while he zaps things away. Juicy.
That's all I got. I just compared your cube to mine on cubetutor's feature.
More specifically, they apparently found an unexpected buyer who will keep the circus going by the looks of things.

Peasant Travel Cube on CubeCobra (180 cards, modern frames) (mtgsalvation thread can be found here)
I had a blog for a while @ peasant-cube.blogspot.com where I may or may not post again, lol
But I will not be one staff her forever as I plan to be fully moving to Nexus as we have a Cube designer planned and it will be an easier one-stop shop. Currently we are getting to start our organization over and make this things cleaner and have better flow. Draft it on Cubetutor here, and CubeCobra here.
Treasure Cruise did nothing wrong.
Fun facts about my cube:
Notable Omissions
1. Flametongue Kavu
2. Murderous Redcap
3. Mist Raven (JUST took it out for Kasmina, Enigmatic Mentor, wasn't sold on the swap. I love the foil)
4. Faith's Fetters
5. Read the Bones
6. Grafted Wargear (Nope!)
7. Baleful Strix (I think I replaced it with Shadowmage Infiltrator)
8. Jackal Pup
9. Blastoderm (Replaced with Iwamori of the Open Fist on release. Bad?)
10. Into the Roil (made room for Siren Stormtamer)
Atypical Inclusions:
1. Atzocan Archer
2. Dawnfeather Eagle (which seems bad)
3. Amateur Auteur (I assume since there are 5 or so of these, I just like the silver border)
4. Animus of Predation I LOVE HIM
5. Sigil Blessing (out for Good-Fortune Unicorn)
6. Singscourger (Out for Mask of Immolation?)
7. Ruthless Ripper (Out for Gluttonous Slug)
8. Band Together I thought this card was awesome? Did those lists just not update?
9. Gnaw to the Bone (Out for Season of Growth maybe)
10. Integrity//Intervention (was thinking of putting in Skyknight Vanguard over this)

My cube has a lot of tokens and I mean a lot... and I ended up with most of them (I didn't even play the lingering souls I had). Intangible viture battle screech triplicate spirits I just overran people without even needing to run removal in my deck.

WHITE
I like to think that Goldmeadow Harrier is an upgrade to Gideon's Lawkeeper for the Cloudgoat Ranger synergies, even though I've never seen it come to fruition.
Azorius Arrester takes an attacker away for one turn, and can trade another turn.
Guardian of the Guildpact can block grounded duders all day in the "go wide" strategy. Same with Seraph of Dawn.
Harm's Way can sometimes negate one attacker and kill another. Temporal Isolation can negate an attacker on a go-wide strat.
Ghostly Prison can completely shut down go wide strats, as can the less oppressive Baird, Steward of Argive.
BLUE
Riftwing Cloudskate, Man-o'-War, Stitched Mangler, Frost Lynx, and the less popular Angler Drake all deal with single creatures for a turn or two very well.
Serendib Efreetand Calcite Snapper (love the turtle) got nice booties to block forever.Kasmina, Enigmatic Mentor can also deal with mass creatures.
Unsummon and Psionic Blast are cards to consider.
BLACK
Bone Shredder, Disfigure, and Snuff Out all deal with individual creatures to help with mass creatures. I dont think black needs much help with this (potential) issue you have.
RED

Fight cards like Epic Confrontation could see use in your cube if many creatures are a problem. I personally like Epic Confrontation because of it's 2cmc, despite it being sorcery. Clear Shot comes to mind as a card people like. I'm sure there are others.
MULTICOLOR
Lyev Skyknight and Spire Patrol both provide a body and "remove" an attacker off for a turn.
