1mana 2/1s are most useful in aggro when curved out, as in played on the first turn and swung every turn after that till dead. The Construct can't attack turn 2 unless you have something with haste, which is rare for 2 drops, so on average this is a 2/1 that can't fill the role it's supposed to play. It just doesn't seem useful.

~400 Peasant++ : List : Draft
Warning: Not for the durdly-hearted!
I was going to say "missing two damage on turn 2 probably doesn't kill the card". Then I remembered that sometimes you go "one drop nothing 3 drop" and then it seemed much worse.
When I see Healing Salve, I'm often like "Oh girl, I wish I could turn every card into this." Thanks they removed the gain life part, otherwise this would have been broken.

Why is it that pauper and peasant cubes are so numerous, but there's almost zero uncommon-only cubes?
What would be the point?
Peasant is more about creating a low, enjoyable power level than it is just an arbitrary choice of what's allowed. Lots of people use rare lands for better fixing, or some low-power actual rare spells like Call of the Herd.
Saying "no Searing Spear, but Incendiary Flow is OK" just feels like clunky and making yourself work extra hard for not much benefit. Then again, if you like building with stricter restrictions, go for it. It's just not for me.

Sure, go for it.
..Or any other restrictions for that matter.
Your argument of "try something different" could apply to any cube restrictions, and could be just as fun to build or draft.
Poverty cube - all cards under 10 cents
Desert cube - only play the lands you draft
Alphabet cube - each color/section is only allowed 26 cards each starting with a different letter
America cube - cube only has red, white, and blue.
Tasteless cube - only cards with no flavor text.
I'm down to try new weird cubes, and I suspect most people here are.
But I don't think that's the primary cube most of us (or most cubers) maintain. Which I suspect is why you don't see more uncommon only cubes. But I have no doubt it's still fun.
The reason is probably that it's not clear at all what an uncommon only cube would have to offer. Pauper, Peasant, rare and powered cubes all have different gameplay, as do themed cubes of course. Even budget cubes are distinct in that way. Why would I go to the trouble and build an uncommon only cube though? It's not like the absence of commons is going to change how it plays in a significant way.

I haven't written up the list yet and there's a lot of test cards in there, but maybe I'll write it up this weekend. I run a pretty heavy artifact subtheme.

Hey guys, do many of you keep a lot of spare commons and uncommons maybeboard for your cube? Perhaps enough cards to switch in and go a different archetype (example - from RB aggro to RB Madness).
How do you store such cards? And how do you seperate them? (archetype or color specific)
I'm pretty adamant about foiling out my cube, so I keep the foils of not-currently-in-the-cube-but-could-be-someday cards in a binder.
Other random commons and uncommons are scattered through a bunch of boxes. So if I own a foil Fertile Ground it's in the binder, any non-foil copies would be in some box.
My maybeboard and past inclusions go in a long box, standard card storage. I need to organize it better and maybe get rid of stuff that's really never going to make the cut.
I have them in a few piles on a shelf in my room. I should probably organize them by color and put them in a 1000 count box or something along those lines. I've had moments where I want to bring a card back in and had to take 5 minutes shuffling through piles to find it.
Especially because this card disincentives you from playing creatures, which are your primary defenses.

Been trying to include more artifacts into the Cube, what's your thoughts on Bonded Construct? Is it playable in aggro?

Generally it's just... bad, but not wholly unplayable.
Pass.

To develop and play in a different environment? Lots of people love drafting new sets for the same reason.
My uncommon cube is by far my favorite to play. I think it's just too bad if this is the prevailing opinion. You guys are missing out.

Imagining a cube with uncommons only would drastically change the format. I'd be interested what it would look like.
