If you want revival run Breath of Life and/or False Defeat. Both are pretty solid midgame and if you run the landcyclers its a neat synergy. Angelic is an awful topdeck and early you dont want to skip a turn doing nothing.
I just recently put Auramancer in Tier2, because of Custodi Squire. It was always a solid card, bringing back some removal or Empyrial Armor Only useful in more controlish decks, though. Its a better Gravedigger, if you run bestow-creatures
Goblin War Drums has the same problems as Angelic. Dont run it. If you want reach, get burn.

I played Breath of Life a while ago (at some point in 2012), and it was consistently underwhelming for 4 mana and as a sorcery. Maybe pauper cube has changed significantly since then, though. It's another card worth discussing, since I don't think many people here play those cards right now. Angelic Renewal seems quite a bit better than that, though, because of how much it can impact combat (you can attack into blockers way more often, and instead of trading high-impact blocking creatures, you keep them). It also reanimates immediately, which gives you an extra turn to use that creature, and it only costs 2 mana, so it should be pretty easy to play around turn 5ish and still be able to do other things that turn or leave mana up.
EDIT: Also, while Breath of Life is definitely a way better topdeck when you don't have creatures, Angelic Renewal might be an okay topdeck in many situations (especially in stalled boardstates) because of how it changes combat.
well test it and let us know the results. I think Angelic is too situational, but I might be wrong.
On a side note, I did cut Crimson Acolyte and upped Hands of Binding from Tier2. It costs me a lot of games there, I wonder if its solid enough in Tier1
I'm building a pauper cube for my friend's birthday. Getting cards isn't a problem, because I own most of the staples anyhow. My question is there a nice cube skeleton that I can use just to get something together? I'm going to sit down with him and help him construct it the way he'd like, but I just want a clear understanding of the format from those who are aware of archetypes/how each color should be built.
thanks

Draft my cube(s) and I'll return the favor! (Be sure to leave a link to your cube after you draft). Multiplayer Cube
I'm thinking that I really try out Typhoid Rats, Pharika's Chosen and Sedge Scorpion.
Any suggestion for cuts?
If you want to keep your curve relatively similar, cutting Fume Spitter for one of the Typhoid Rats is usually an upgrade, imo.
And in green, I'd definitely add Deadly Recluse first before Sedge Scorpion. Not really knowing what green card you'd view as cuttable, my first instinct would be to cut Prey Upon for it since they serve similar (but not completely overlapping) purposes.
Since I was really impressed with Hands of Binding lately, I wonder how useful Hidden Strings are. Giving virtual vigilance or untap 2! lands each turn sounds very strong.

Its pretty good and its definitely better than it looks on paper. My brother considers it a "fixture" (less than a staple but definitely not on the chopping block)
That aura that bounces. Can't remember its name and on my phone.
Sigil of Sleep? I've come so close to including it so many times, I should really just put it in and test it out. Worth noting that it triggers on any type of damage, so it works really well with pingers, as well as on evasive creatures.
Yeah, it's fine. Nothing too exciting - it's not a card I'd pick early and it's not a card that would push me towards R/G - but it's usually a decent pickup for most R/G decks. I've been playing it off and on since Gatecrash; it's in my cube right now, but I'll regularly rotate it out for a while in order to try out different stuff.
Sure. We could use Lanxal's because he's never around anymore.
Haha man yeah sorry I've been completely gone, university has been taking up all my time. Hello everyone! I previously had a peasant cube long ago and now I have my core set cube I made, but I'm also looking into getting into pauper now. It seems like a lot more fun than peasant and powered and cheaper as well (I read that somebodys cube wasn't more than $150). Can anyone direct me to a good list to copy or start from?
Yeah pauper seems like a lot of fun, more skilled, and very cheap. I would imagine the most expensive cards would be Sinkhole and Chain Lightning. And I might not even use Sinkhole. I will take a look at all of them. Thank you!
I wouldn't play Sinkhole anyway - unlike in (un)powered cubes, mana bases tend not to be as shaky, two color decks are the norm, and there aren't super-high impact utility lands that you really need to destroy. And there just aren't enough other good land hate cards to make it an archetype.
As far as cost, Daze, Serum Visions, and Chain Lightning are really the only expensive cards (more than $1.50 USD) I'm playing right now, and apart from those, I could re-buy my cube for around $90 USD. I've spent more on sleeves and sets of specific basic lands for my cube than on building / updating it.
After a long stretch of not cubing, I'm trying to get a couple in this weekend. I just did my overdue update for the new sets and would love some feedback on those changes- on my cubetutor!

This Even with the beta version of cards I have I am still willing to bet my zendikar full art lands I have for my pauper cube cost more than the actual drafting cards themselves.
Welcome! Pauper is indeed super cheap. Most expensive cards are like $0.50 until you start foiling out! You don't need the random Fire Ambushes or Sinkholes that some people run to save you a buck here or there.
It's a great cube format too because it feels like cube and regular limited had a beautiful baby! It plays much more like regular limited than typical cubes do, but it's still has it's cube flair with its own Progenitus and other cards that are bordering on "rare" status in cube.
Cubes are all pretty standard I think with some changes.
This is the average 360 cards that Pauper cubes play http://www.cubetutor.com/viewcube/493 but that won't be color balanced. It's exactly the most common 360 cards instead of say the 55 most common White, 55 most common blue, etc. And here's the 540 average cube http://www.cubetutor.com/viewcube/894.
Should be a good way to get started figuring out what you want!

One area that I am looking at is UB Rogues (aka evasive).
A bad card, that may be good came up:
Cloak of Confusion
It reads, if ~ is unblocked, opponent discards 1 at random.
It is an Aura, but.. hmm... if you hate Hymn, would this be acceptable to you on say a Ledgewalker?
Also, how many Rogues/Faeries are needed to make Latchkey Faerie reliable?

Yeah, looking over my blue section right now I honestly don't know what I'd want to cut for it.
Also, is anybody here interested in doing a group cube draft like what the peasant folks are finishing up right now? Seems like a pretty fun idea.
