This shifts the CMC up slightly due to cutting a 3-drop to put Hornet Queen back in, but I think I'm ok with that. Otherwise, I went through your list as well as wtwlf's and noticed I never put in Noose Constrictor or Rofellos, so I cut the two lowest-performing 2-drops for them. I'd prefer to have Oracle of Mul Daya instead of Wickerbough Elder, but Elder costs ~$0.50 while Oracle is a $25 card, so I'll make that swap if it's in Masters 25 or in a couple months when I can better budget for one.
I opted to cut Impulse for Condescend since I think I like Serum Visions slightly more.
Updated through Dominaria. I'm expecting one of these cards to have a very short life in cube, but I enjoyed it enough at the prerelease to at least give it a chance. There are also a couple of unrelated updates that I made recently that aren't Dominaria changes.
I wouldn't cut Nekrataal. I'd probably just leave out Phyexian Scriptures. If you really want to test that card, Summon the Pack, Liliana, Death's Majesty, and Ruinous Path look like better cuts to me.
-Declaration in Stone has been in the cube for a while but somehow never made it onto the list here.
-Nissa, Vital Force may not last long based on feedback in This or That, but I don't have a clear replacement lined up at the moment, so I'm adding her to the list.
-I'm adding Scars Fastlands to the cube as I'm able to pick up foil copies, so they'll be unbalanced for now with the goal of completing the set as I can.
-Watermarket was cute and I'm glad I added it, because it pushed me to play more promos which has made me like the aesthetics of the cube more, but I need to cut it because the card itself isn't pulling its weight.
-I'm looking to add Night Incarnate and I'm suspecting the cut is almost definitely Phyrexian Scriptures, but I'm not ready yet!
-In the future, I'll be looking to add Teferi, Hero of Dominaria, but I'm put off by its price point enough to leave Reflector Mage in for now.
-Also hoping to pick up an Avacyn, Angel of Hope soon, which I may replace Entreat the Angels with. I'm open to adding something else in, but I'm not sure what slot I'd want to add another body to.
I'll see about Lyra. Baird and Sanctifiers are fine to cut alongside Entreat. I'd like to add Lyra in, but I don't see another easy cut and want the other three first, which it looks like you agree on.
I like that Nissa in theory, but I haven't run her. Wtwlf has had success with her. She's definitely worth trying.
I like Bouncer, but I prefer Cryptologist. I think Bouncer is better than Misdirection or Harbinger, but they all do different things. You need to decided what you want to support. I support reanimator and Goblin Welder, so Bouncer has been great. That said, it likely won't survive my next big update.
I agree the other white cards are more important than Lyra. I prefer to cube BSA or Lyra because I support Wildfire decks. In our group, Boros is the secondmost common Wildfire pair, so I want a couple white creatures that survive the fire. Without that priority, I'd consider running Lancers first.
Oh, I should have been more clear. I'm adding Cryptologist back in once I find which stack she ended up in. I support both reanimator and Welder, and would like to cut both Harbinger and Misdirection for Crytologist and Bouncer if Bouncer is worth the slot (which it sounds like it is, archetype-depending).
The weighing of Lyra/BSA over Lancers makes sense in the context of Wildfire. I support the deck, but I don't recall it coming together recently. I could consider cutting Cloudgoat Ranger to fit Lyra in.
I'm fine cutting Cyclonic Rift over Daze. They're both towards the bottom of the totem pole at the moment.
I'm also pretty sad about Fire Imp, but I don't know what else I'd cut for Hanweir Garrison. I like Dark-Dwellers enough that it's probably safe at least for a little bit, but it does push the curve up.
Man, all of these Modern Horizons spoils are making my head spin. Given that these spoilers involve some additional review of other inclusions, I figured I'd post about all of the changes I'm thinking currently, both with existing cards and new cards.
-Guild lands are no longer the same cycles for all 10 other than ABUR duals, shocks, and fetches
-Beefing up "lands matters" subtheme (slightly)
I was going to post about my Ikoria changes, but apparently have been remiss and didn't post any of my M20, Eldraine, or Theros: Beyond Death changes. Here are some quick spoilers for them. I'm posting now because I'm also planning to expand my cube size (which will be in a second, separate post) and feel I should catch up first. If there are some weird-looking cuts in this update, wait for the second post.
This set...was a bit of a doozy. I initially expected this set to not be that big of a deal, because mutate was the face mechanic of the set, and it seemed very dubious for cube. However, I was very wrong about the set overall, between the companions, the triomes, and some overall great cards otherwise.
Yep! So, of those, Blade Splicer, Stormblood Berserker, Primeval Titan, and Inkwell Leviathan are all back with my planned expansion. Will Kenrith and Gifts Ungiven aren't actually in the cube any more, because I've apparently missed some ninja edits (although Gifts Ungiven is on the docket to come back. I hadn't considered cutting Remorseful Cleric over Accorder Paladin, but I'll have to think about that. I got distracted, so didn't draft up the second post I intended to make.
EDIT; I'm also fine cutting Liliana, Dreadhorde General instead of Flesh Carver. I never picked up that Liliana, so that makes things easier.
So, part two, the planned expansion to 630. This doesn't take into account any of your feedback, rantipole (other than what had already been planned). I'm worried this maybe includes too many combo pieces, but I'm not sure what the appropriate quantity is. Sorry if the spoilers makes it annoying to parse - I was worried this was too many cards to just put in a post otherwise.
Thanks! I considered also adding Unburial Rites back in, but with the arrival of Lurrus and the addition of persist combo support, felt that having the 2-drops I added in was the better choice. I'll keep an eye out for what's too much support for various combos over others, since that isn't something I've historically tracked very well.
If you want to support the persist combo, I'd keep Clique and Melira. I think Darigaaz is better than Korvold as a general Jund card and I prefer Hellkite Overlord to both for supporting Natural Order/Sneak Attack/Eureka/reanimator.
I used to prefer Pridemage to Voice but since you run Knight of Autumn it's not necessary anymore.
