edit: with your lower than 50% player damage issue you should probably drop slaughtermaster instead. but man do i hate obsidian fireheart.
This sounds as if you either had it stuck in your hand too often due to its awkward mana cost, generally think this card is bad due to that cost or - quite the opposite - violently lost to your own burning lands. Please elaborate!
Thanks for the reminder! I skimmed over the visual spoiler of The Dark and came up only with the cards I mentioned above, completely overlooking the Maze. I hate when that happens! While the Maze is a really good card and could easily replace Stalking Stones once I get one, it annoys me that that land doesn't produce any mana.

well there are two things i dislike about the card. one is that the mana cost and the cost for the ability are a lot more awkward than the power level warrants. i am not going to be in monored enough for this card to not suck. the other is that i violently hate the reminder text.
When I see Healing Salve, I'm often like "Oh girl, I wish I could turn every card into this." Thanks they removed the gain life part, otherwise this would have been broken.

Oh, haven't considered the reminder text to be a dooming factor. The way I draft (picking dual lands and signets at a high priority), the Fireheart got played in decks that were far from monored (and still coming down the fourth turn). It is one of my weakest red creatures though.
In the wake of the last changes, I thought that there are still more I could make (OUT >> IN):
Kor Aeronaut >> Soltari Trooper
Just realized that 8 of my 12 white two mana creatures cost WW! I also overestimated the Aeronaut's ability to block (flyers) and the usefulness of its kicker ability.
Blade of the Sixth Pride >> Lone Missionary
I was shown that Missionary is slightly better than the Blade. This swap will also make the following two better.
Aven Riftwatcher >> Flickerwisp
With the Missionary, the Riftwatcher is no longer that important. I also like the white "blink" effects.
Pristine Angel >> Reveillark
The Lark got an overwhelming amount of support in the "card vs card" thread. This swap also means one less control finisher and one more aggro or midrange support card.
Kirtar's Wrath >> Day of Judgement
Kirtar's Wrath was a placeholder for Martial Coup. Since the latter one is quite good in Standard right now, it isn't easy to acquire. Stumbling upon a Day in my collection also got me thinking: While the combination of sweeper + creatures is really good, the 7+ mana tag is less so. Why not include a second cheap wrath now and worry about including Martial Coup (possibly in a creature slot) later?
Mortivore >> Vampire Hexmage
While I want to replace the Vore with either Plague Sliver or Phyrexian Scuta, I still havn't found either of them. With the recent addition of Planeswalkers, the Hexmage seems to be a good foil to them and another reasonable black aggro creature.
Obsidian Fireheart >> Magma Jet
If the Fireheart would cost 2RR and its ability would cost 2R, I probably wouldn't cut it. As it is however, a once removed useful burn spell gets its place.
When I see Healing Salve, I'm often like "Oh girl, I wish I could turn every card into this." Thanks they removed the gain life part, otherwise this would have been broken.
The newest changes (listed above) are up. Thanks for the support!
I've already mentioned a few times that I have at least one card from every Magic set (except for Portal, Starter and Un-sets) in my cube. If you are interested, here is the current list (always counting the first set a card was printed in, not the physical card in my cube):

Did you do this manually? All the sites / programs that I know only check for the last expansion that a card got printed.
Yes, I did it manually. I play Magic since Fourth Edition, so I know most cards in my cube and their origin quite well. For every card where I wasn't 100 % sure however (about a third of them), I used the Gatherer from Wizards. Yes, it took some time, but I was bored that day... Once it was done, every update became a simple "remove a number here, add a number there".
When I see Healing Salve, I'm often like "Oh girl, I wish I could turn every card into this." Thanks they removed the gain life part, otherwise this would have been broken.
Since when can you upload a whole decklist at gatherer and magiccards.info?
Sure you can use some script that checks the cards for you or check one card after card manually, but if there is a comfortable way for this it would be very interesting for me.
When I want to sort my cube editionswise, I just use deckcheck.net (click "set") or Magic Workstation.
oh ok, i didn't realize you were talking about checking an entire cube automatically.
When I see Healing Salve, I'm often like "Oh girl, I wish I could turn every card into this." Thanks they removed the gain life part, otherwise this would have been broken.
Really? Why? Stone Rain was pure sideboard fodder for us, while the other two are fair red Armageddons.
(Sorry, wanted to ask this earlier, but forgot about it.)
i guess it depends on how your cube runs but stone rain is splashable cheap LD and boom//bust and tectonic break are both overcosted for what they do. if you play multiplayer they are both a lot better, though.
stone rain is an answer (academy ruins, their second plains, etc) and never lacks a target. it slows them down without slowing you down (resource-wise). if you run any aggro it's pretty awesome to be able to drop a one drop, then a two drop (or awesome equipment) and then set them back a turn and unfix their mana while smacking them in the face with what you have out. while it isn't as good late game, sometimes they have been leaning awfully hard all game on one dual and taking it out wrecks them, and sometimes it plays exactly like artifact/enchantment removal against a utility land, and you wouldn't be arguing if i said to put disenchant in instead of purify.
i've really enjoyed stone rain since i put it in, enough that i ordered an ice storm. i think it does come down to how your cube plays and personal preference, though.

I really like Stone Rain and Ice Storm. Highly recommend both. But especially Stone Rain. It's in a color that gets even more use out of it, and splashable LD is always welcome.

We never play multiplayer with my cube. It is probably a bit slower than other cubes around here, though (espescially powered ones). This and the fact that Armageddon was cut for being too powerful / annoying means that Bust and Break are only slightly overcosted and perfectly playable in my cube.
Whenever I think that I made all the changes that I want to make at the moment, I stumble upon another card that needs inclusion.
Stalking Stones >> Maze of Ith
Not much to say except for: Why did I forgot the Maze in the first place?
Potential changes (OUT >> IN):
Arashi, the Sky Asunder >> Thornling
I really, really like Arashi. While he is only a 5/5 in every other game, he is mono green creature removal with two different modes. And the channel mode is espescially potent since it has instant speed, can't be countered and doesn't target. It can kill Meloku the Clouded Mirror and all its tokens, a Palinchron with the etb trigger on the stack, Morphling and many others. However there is no arguing that he is my weakest green 5 mana creature and that Thornling is clearly better.
I am a little concerned that Thornling is a bit too good in my cube. As an indestructible creature, most removal won't work on him if its controler plays wisely. Being able to trample means that he can't be chump blocked, either. What's your opinion? Is he too annoying to play against / too hard to get rid off?
Vivid Lands >> Worldwake Manlands
This will make 3+ color control decks a bit harder to build and will include a few more "nearly creature cards" after I cut a few creatures to include planeswalkers with my last wave of changes.

hmm. well if your cube is designed to be slow and somewhat anti-aggro (which is what i would call removing armageddon) then stone rain is probably a bad fit for you. boom//bust has the option of taking out a difficult utility land (unfortunately at the expense giving your opponent card advantage, but at least the answer is there when it's needed) so you'll probably be fine in that department.

It is not specifically designed to be slow, it's just that I push not as hard as others (like wtwlf123 for example) to make my cube as aggressive as possible. And I wouldn't call it "anti-aggro" just because I excluded a single card. Armageddon and Mind Twist just need no effort to use and using them creates quite unfun situations for the receiving player.
At six mana, Bust is just more fair, yet still potentially powerful. In a recent draft, the WU control deck had both Scepter of Dominance and Isochron Scepter + Path to Exile out against an RG aggro deck and I thought the latter was a goner. A well timed Bust and the aggro player was back in the game and crushed the control deck. So I consider Boom/Bust and Tectonic Break fine cards, even if they are clearly worse than Armageddon.
Armageddon and Mind Twist just need no effort to use and using them creates quite unfun situations for the receiving player.
agreed on mind twist, it's always powerful. but how does armageddon require no effort to use? you have to achieve a superior board state or else it's just a pointless reset. you don't just draw it and play it without thinking. i think it's quite powerful but i wouldn't call it mindless or expect it to win the game for me without any kind of set up.
regarding the "unfun:" i've never found armageddon or mind twist to be unfun, but i know many people do. if your playgroup dislikes it there's no question that it's correct to exclude it.
When I see Healing Salve, I'm often like "Oh girl, I wish I could turn every card into this." Thanks they removed the gain life part, otherwise this would have been broken.
Also, has anyone found Thornling to be too annoying to play against? I am a bit reluctant to get one for my cube, since so many removal won't work against him and chump blocking won't work neither. I may be wrong, but it looks really frustrating to play against.
It IS frustrating to play against. But so are a lot of cards in the cube. I'm constantly cursing Yosei, The Morning Star's existence but I would never take it out of the cube. Same with Mind Twist, Symbol Status, Upheaval, and a bunch of other nasty nasty cards. Its better than playing with grizzly bears and hill giants any day of the week.
Agreed with cuttups. Good cards are good. Don't disallow good creatures because you think they'll kill you someday. That's kinda silly. You should force yourself to use only cards you'd be afraid to see across the table from you.

That way its so satisfying when you use those cards against the guy who had them last time and beat him. OR its even more satisfying when beat those amazing cards with your own amazing cards and get to rub it in Yosei & Thornling's face. Swords to Plowshare, Condemn, and Path to Exile are your best friends in those situations. For every other nasty card, there is a good handful of answers for those too.
Thornling is too good not to run. And it's yet another good reason to have Diabolic Edict, Innocent Blood, and Barter in Blood in your cube. There is an answer to eveything.
I'd cut Wolfbriar for Stag. Weaver is totally exciting when you recur it as needed with Genesis or Recurring Nightmare. It kicks your opponent in the 'nads.
Don't forget Maze of Ith sir!
