So, two of my friends and myself decided to play Cube Sealed. We made the pools and got into it. My friend made this tight BR Aggro deck (which totally works, for the disbelievers. :P) which blew me and my other friend out of the water. And the MVP? Prickly Boggart.
I don't know his exact deck, but some of the standouts was Prickly Boggart, Gathan Raiders (which is every bit as awesome as people say it is), Lightning Bolt and Keldom Marauders. He pretty much reached the top of his curve at 3 and had an empty hand for three quarters of the time he was playing. He won against me in the first game on turn 7 with three lands in play, having drawn four all game and discarded the fourth to Gathan Raiders.
First time that a deck has worked that well in a game. And it was glorious.
Makes every dollar I spent on the cube so worth it.
Dauthi Slayer is in the cube, although I don't really like it. The double black is... annoying.
I cut Thornwind Faeries a while back, because I decided that I didn't want too many pingers in blue, and I cut the one which was hardest to play. Plus, blue's creatures are already tight, so I wouldn't know what to cut anyway.
Comment: Sandstorm never really lived up to its hype, so sadly, it gets the cut. Outrage is an excellent role-fulling burn, to kill annoying fatties and still go in for dome.
Comment: I came to a realisation that Echoing Truth is only good against tokens, which is not good enough. I don't like it anymore. I do like the new scrying cantrip. Simple as that!
Comment: A perfect swap. Making my cube more color-intensive is no issue, as they are both double green. Trading recursion with just the most deadly beating.
Comment: Another perfect swap, with same casting cost and P/T. I'm sad to see the Avenger go, but sadly, gotta take one for the team. And I don't want to make the "I'm strengthening Threshold!" shpeel here.
Comment: Let me say it now: I don't think Greater Basilisk is anything to go "WOWSERS" at, but it's not too shabby. Taking out the card I've been meaning to take out for a while.
I tried Angelic Renewal, only because someone played it against me in Pauper online with Mulldrifter, which was sweet. Turns out it's pretty bad in cube.
Comment: A tough choice, because I've always liked the Tracer. But, tough choices make and break the cube, so I guess it's gotta go. Also, I've put into effect all the M11 changes, despite their 'not-released-ness'. So, new M11 updates will be carried out as if normal. Mmkay?
A lot of these are excellent changes, my friend. I'm especially glad to see Snakeform going in. That card is really really good. I'd be a little iffy on Judge Unworthy vs Puncturing Light, though. I like Judge Unworthy, but Puncturing Light will always kill that attacking little guy. Judge Unworthy could very well whiff on the Scry. I actually ran Judge Unworthy for quite a while in my rare cube (a long time ago) and I think it whiffed more times that it was useful.
About time Snakeform was in and Zephyr Sprite was out. I'm glad you;re trying Scroll Thief, but Echo Tracer deserves to stay - bouncing a creature has great synergy with tons of blue stuff like CitP effects, Ninjas, tempo, even Scroll Thief himself! Plus, taking out a morph actually makes all other morphs worse.
I've found that in the cube (I don't know about Pauper cube, but in rare cube), morph isn't so much about surprising your opponent with something, but about getting that something into play faster than normal. Most of the time if I'm in red and I play a morph, my opponent can safely say that it's a Gathan Raiders and I haven't noticed that lack of surprise being a hindrance at all. So keeping in morphs just because they're morphs doesn't seem like good logic at all to me.
When I see Healing Salve, I'm often like "Oh girl, I wish I could turn every card into this." Thanks they removed the gain life part, otherwise this would have been broken.
but those cards don't depend on secrecy to be good, either. they are worth playing for their effect, that's why you play them, right?
Exactly. I play those cards in my C/U cube, and they for sure aren't there so I can go, "Surprise!! It was a Shaper Parasite all along! Hahaha!!" They're there for their effect. If they were ETB creatures with that effect, they'd still be there.

I'm taking out an uncertain card to try out another uncertain card. If Judge Unworthy doesn't stack up, then I'll reverse the change.
Thanks for the props puncturing light and judge unworthy tend to hit the same creatures (I usually consider it a 2 damage spell) and to be honest, running both may be the call, which I may end up doing, myself (finding what may be hard, since I still need to find something to cut for cenn's enlistment.)
You cut Cloud of Faeries? Really? I don't know about you, but I've found it to be much, much more useful than Echo Tracer. It makes it into any blue deck I draft, it's great in aggro (free!) and useable in control: default as a cycler, but can block any X/1 for free. Plus he has great synnergy with bouncelands and mana auras.
And Echo Tracer is a Man'o'War that costs twice as much. Personal preference, I suppose.
To each his own. I just don't think that Cloud of Faeries will ever be better than a 1/1 flying, even if it is free. Sure, there are many situations in which the Cloud of Faeries is awesome, but it's the same thing for Echo Tracer.

Dauthi Slayer (tempest common), unblockable damage seems good.
Rootwater hunter: You seem to be playing every other blue pinger, same goes for Thornwind Faeries.

Also, putting my M11 changes here, so that they're more visible for me and others.
Swirling Sandstorm → Chandra's Outrage
Comment: Sandstorm never really lived up to its hype, so sadly, it gets the cut. Outrage is an excellent role-fulling burn, to kill annoying fatties and still go in for dome.
Elvish Visionary → Sylvan Ranger
Comment: Ranger is better 60% of the time, so cut the Visionary. Maybe it'll come back.
Martyr of Frost → Æther Adept
Comment: Taking out the weak counter critter for the sexy Man-o'-War almost copy.
Echoing Truth → Preordain
Comment: I came to a realisation that Echoing Truth is only good against tokens, which is not good enough. I don't like it anymore. I do like the new scrying cantrip. Simple as that!
Vampire Aristocrat → Liliana's Specter
Comment: I don't I think I'll be needing this Husk-copy, so taking it out for the super-Ravenous Rats.
Primal Growth → Cultivate
Comment: Now, this is about a Kodama Reach functional reprint being awesome.
Nissa's Chosen → Garruk's Companion
Comment: A perfect swap. Making my cube more color-intensive is no issue, as they are both double green. Trading recursion with just the most deadly beating.
Krosan Avenger → Sacred Wolf
Comment: Another perfect swap, with same casting cost and P/T. I'm sad to see the Avenger go, but sadly, gotta take one for the team. And I don't want to make the "I'm strengthening Threshold!" shpeel here.
Silverglade Elemental → Greater Basilisk
Comment: Let me say it now: I don't think Greater Basilisk is anything to go "WOWSERS" at, but it's not too shabby. Taking out the card I've been meaning to take out for a while.
Skyhunter Patrol → Cloud Crusader
Comment: It looks cooler. Sue me.
Skyhunter Prowler → Assault Griffin
Comment: Trying out the Griffin, so I'm taking out the weak flyer.

Comment: Why oh why did I add the Shambler? Can't even spell it right half the time.
Winged Coatl → Snakeform
Comment: I'll bite.
WHITE
Ivory Giant → Knight of Sursi
Comment: Ivory Giant... not as good as I thought it was. But the Knight may very well be better than I currently give it credit for.
Puncturing Light → Judge Unworthy
Comment: I don't know about the Judge Unworthy at the least, I think it's better than the Light. Maybe.
Angelic Renewal → Seal of Cleansing
Comment: Well, that was fast. Looking at Renewal again, I find that I don't like it. So, trying out another card.
Righteous Charge → Cho-Manno's Blessing
Comment: It's a good card, but the Sorcery speed kills it for me. Trying out the omni-Shelter.
BLUE
Zephyr Sprite → Halimar Wavewatch
Comment: *sigh* I hate cutting the Sprite, but I guess clinging to it would be a bad decision.
Vedalken Dismisser → Sea Gate Oracle
Comment: Great in Ravnica Limited, but we all know you can't really translate that to cube, can you?
Echo Tracer → Scroll Thief
Comment: A tough choice, because I've always liked the Tracer. But, tough choices make and break the cube, so I guess it's gotta go. Also, I've put into effect all the M11 changes, despite their 'not-released-ness'. So, new M11 updates will be carried out as if normal. Mmkay?
BLACK
Stir the Grave → Dirge of Dread
Comment: Stir the Grave isn't great, so I thought I might use it to try out some other cards.
RED
Goblin Cohort → Keldon Halbardier
Comment: This is more about the Cohort sucking bad than the Halbardier being great.
Fire Whip → Act of Treason
Comment: A really, really tough choice. I love the Whip, but lately, it hasn't been stacking up. God damn it.
GREEN
Hunting Cheetah → Simian Grunts
Comment: The Cheetah doesn't connect enough for it to be 'good. So, out with the old, in with the new.
ARTIFACTS
Manakin → Vulshok Gauntlets
Comment: As someone said, Manakin is just a terrible Myr. So, cutting it to try out the Gauntlets.
Thanks to Usman for opening my eyes again to my own lists' weaknesses.

Nice find! I remember considering Cloud of Faeries for cut, but in the confusion, it seemed to have survived.
Cloud of Faeries → Echo Tracer
