drake is trickier to use than control magic and it sucks even more than usual against aggro but it's ridiculously cheap and abusable. definitely a great swap for jushi, which is fine but not nearly as good.
When I see Healing Salve, I'm often like "Oh girl, I wish I could turn every card into this." Thanks they removed the gain life part, otherwise this would have been broken.
I had 45 of each and we actually ran out of Islands and Swamps a few weeks ago. I had to order more to go up to 55 of each. I think for most cases 40-45 is more than enough.
How much more cutting do we need to do? I want to be sleeving this thing up on Sunday and drafting out of it that night.
I need to rub the ink off of 16 more foils to get all my foil proxies done, but everything is printed out. I'll cut the rest of the proxies that are finished tonight, so that leaves 28 cards I still need to glue and cut. Depending on how fast I can get that paper done for Philosophy, I'll have all the ink rubbed off those foils tomorrow or the next day, probably the next day. I could conceivably have everything done by Friday.
I'll go with 35 basics each to be safe. Thanks guys.
I switched out Draining Whelk for Palinchron mainly due to availability, but I think it was a good change.
I'm also wondering if I should take out Vesuvan Shapeshifter to add in Aether Adept . . . or maybe there is a better candidate in my blue list to cut. I'd like to support a blue aggro/tempo if I can.
I finally finished my cube, and we got to do a draft with it the other night . . . yay! It was amazingly fun. The only objections made were some feel that Bribery is a little too powerful in the cube, and blue's theft effects may be too powerful. We argued about it for a bit before deciding to post it here.
What are your thoughts on blue theft, and Bribery.
bribery is a really strong card. but against an aggro deck it can be mediocre, and against a midrange deck they should have additional threats with which to fight you. it's really only devastating against control when you snag their best finisher, so i don't think it's unbeatable.
if blue control has been too strong i'd consider improving aggro to combat it, since you're missing a lot of great aggro cards and have many midrange cards you could cut to include them. if you're not interested in supporting aggro better, i guess your only option is to cut good control cards (perhaps for more blue tempo cards). i'd recommend the aggro route anyway, though, since aggro is so much fun.

I am definitely open to the idea of improving aggro. What cards have I overlooked and what can I cut to fit them in?
EDIT: I'm working on an update right now to improve aggro.
i may have missed some, those are the ones i noticed. obviously not all of these belong in a 435 card cube, but you shouldn't be missing every one of them. especially not the 1 and 2 drops. i can give you a list of stuff to drop if you need it, but a lot of it is 3-6 cost midrangey creatures that really aren't necessary at this size.

that's a great update. i like all the changes, although i would miss natural order (i'd lose bear umbra or worldly tutor instead). but is there a reason you're avoiding some of the one drops? they really make a difference. i like ember hauler so i mentioned it, but i wouldn't run it over goblin patrol (for example) and both elite vanguard and steppe lynx are really important to white aggro.
Is Chimeric Mass an aggro card? I always imagined it to be a control card..
it works in all kinds of decks including aggro. it's flexible where it can be played, filling in a hole in the curve if necessary. you can play it as a big finisher or drop it as your last beater in aggro for 4 or 5 (at that point paying to activate him won't matter at all). it can get pretty big and survives wraths, so it's pretty awesome. it's been the reason i've won a few games since i added it by attacking after a wrath.

No reason other than I have my own Magic hang-ups. Thanks for pointing it out, I'll look through again and see if I can make some more room.
I'd like to keep natural oder as well, but I had to cut something. Maybe I should cut something else. I have tooth and nail in there too, and my group wants to keep that one . . .
Have you thought about witching Fire Imp and Jaya Ballard, Task Mage? It creates card advantage, can attack the next turn and doesn't require you to invest cards and mana to get some value out of it.
I can see the wisdom in that. I will present the idea to my play group for sure.
For the record, Jaya Ballard was awful here. I really wanted her to be good, but she just wasn't. You'd think that another discard outlet to enable graveyard shenanigans would be a good thing, but she just didn't work out that way.

I was actually thinking that in a later game drawing useless land in an aggro deck, having a discard outlet for it that has reach is a good thing. Does it function poorly this way.

Dammit, you broke my anonymity. I told everyone on here my name was Mrs. Haberdash!!! I'm so embarrassed.
On a serious note, how many basic land of each type supports an 8-man draft consistently? How many should I carry around in my cube?
