Elspeth 2.0 for Ajani 1.0 is purely because I feel the need to limit to 3 planeswalkers per color to avoid adding planeswalkers infinitely as Wizards keeps making them. I'm sure you agree that Elspeth 1.0 and Gideon Jura are both superior.
Old man I already explained my logic above.
Keiga has seriously been underperforming as a finisher, I've never liked Upheaval, but wanted to give it another shot since everyone else likes it so much.
The Drownyard and Loothouse changes I've also explained above, I prefer a slightly weaker effect on a land over a slightly stronger effect on a spell.
upheaval is definitely the more broken of the two as a finisher. There is nothing like upheavaling with 4 or more mana floating, replaying all your artifacts and then dropping a bomb as your opponent looks on with an empty board.
A very nice collection you have here. I see you don't play Mutavault. Is that because you aren't a fan, or just due to lack of space?
Mainly lack of space, my lands section is very tight. If I were to add 1 more, it would probably be City of Brass.
I have tried Mutavault in the past and was never a big fan, and I kind of already have enough man lands. Also I don't own a cool full art foil one like you, so its not a big incentive for me to run that card
I completely missed you not having City of Brass. I think I just glossed over it, I saw the City of Ass and just figured Brass was in too. It looks like you could get that Mutavault pretty easily if you wanted it. You have beta everything, so it does't look like it is out of your grasp.
I've never liked Upheaval, but wanted to give it another shot since everyone else likes it so much.
I love upheaval so much. If you are winning and can pull if off, you can create a great advantage. If you are losing and need to bail, you can buy a few extra turns with a reset.

The big thing is not to project your own emotions on what other people are trying to get out of Magic
looks nice. 8th ed black border bribery? must be foil.
Yea it's really hard to take good pics showing the foils...but I believe everything that can be foiled is foiled at this point after years of upgrading.
How's your experience with channel? It's one I've been eyeing for a while now...
I added it in after playing with and against it on magic online, it can lead to some truly sick plays, which is exactly what I'm looking for in a cube environment.
Whenever people ask me what is the most broken thing you can do in cube, one of my default response is turn 1 channel emerakul.
Another broken thing is channel into upheaval and then continue channeling more mana to recast all your stuff and be wayyyy ahead on permanents to their empty board.
More fair uses would be just to use channel as a ritual to ramp out a medium to big threat ahead of schedule.
When I first added Channel, it would go around pretty late, but nowadays my players have picked up on its potential brokeness and have gone so far as to first pick this card hoping to get an eldrazi later on. So overall, my playgroup has been very positive with channel so far.
Had a blast at the prerelease today, updated my cube for Dragon's Maze...

Nice list, I wanted to try cube and this list looked nice so I built it (mostly proxies) so far alot of fun. If u were rotisserie drafting (all 360 cards face up, one pick at a time til 45card ea, 8ppl) what would ur first or second pics look like. Basically what's ur ideal pack one pick one or pack one pick two
wow thanks, this is first that I know of that someone actually built my cube. I feel honored lol.
First and second picks are Library of Alexandria and Sol Ring imho, those are the 2 cards that I'm most excited to open and automatically windmill slam into my pile at any time. They are both super broken and don't restrict you to any colors.

I wouldn't cut Exalted Angel or Plated Geopede. Geopede is much better for aggro than Pyromancer will be. Exalted Angel has been nothing but great for me.
My cuts would be Honor of the Pure or Ajani, Caller of the Pride and Chaos Warp.
I would cut ember hauler instead of plated geopede. And I would cut precinct captain or leonin relic warder for the sovereign. Exalted Angel is starting to show it's age, but I think it's still a good card.

Want to Cube but don't have one? Check the map if anyone is in your area and get cubing!
Exalted Angel had to go because it's been on the chopping block for a while and I did not want to acquire another foil version of this card. I have no other morphs left in the cube and this was too obvious and wasn't even that good anymore. I have as much sentimental value for Exalted Angel as anyone since I collect Angels and I qualified for my first ever Pro Tour playing with 4 Exalted Angels in an Onslaught block PTQ back in the day. I checked with my players and nobody will miss this one, so its gone. The other white cards that you guys mentioned are definitely on the chopping block as well, they will probably be replaced in the near future when better white cards come out in the next couple of sets.
Plated Geopede has proven to be too one dimensional and too fetch land dependent. Fetch lands are consistently very high picks in my cube and Plated Geopede has been consistently last picks. Young Pyromancer looks interesting and all my players want to try it out, so its in a test run for now. Chaos Warp and still cool and interesting and I trade for a foil one, so its staying in for now. Ember Hauler is definitely on the chopping block as well, it just seems slightly better than Plated Geopede for now.
I don't think Plated Geopede is dependent on having fetches at all. I'd totally run him in a deck without fetches. Fetches just make him better. Red loves a 3/3 first strike that starts swinging turn 3 (or turn 2 with a Mox). I've found it to be way superior to Ember Hauler.
Ember Hauler's ability is good... but his problem is his casting cost, which hurts his value. I'm actively trying to minimize the double color casting cost 2-drops in my cube since a lot of aggro decks are mostly 2 colors.
