Legion Loyalist has impressed me, he's an all star in a deck with a couple good p/t boosting equipment. Firestorm isn't a card that I wanted to cut, could easily come back soon.
Losing Mystical Tutor seems bad to me. If I'm playing a U/x deck that has build-around-me spells like Tinker, Wildfire, Upheaval, Time Spiral or Reanimation etc, then Mystical Tutor is my best friend. I feel like losing Mystical Tutor makes those other cards worse by a little bit.
I personally like Mystical Tutor but it gets some slack at the table. I would like to fit it back in but I am trying out a few cards (I haven't cubed too much recently due to school). Augur of Bolas, Frost Titan, Bribery are all cutables but would like to hear opinions.
Ranger of Eos --> Enlightened Tutor
Flickerwisp --> Preacher
Squee, Goblin Nabob --> Blast from the Past
Vinelasher Kudzu --> Wall of Roots
Gathan Raiders --> Gemstone Mine
Dauthi Marauder --> Carrion Feeder
Skirsdag High Priest --> Inquisition of Kozilek
Scion of Darkness --> Knight of Infamy
Dance of the Dead --> Fleshbag Marauder
Putrid Leech --> Vraska the Unseen
Noxious Revival --> Erratic Portal
Spined Thopter --> Undiscovered Paradise
Birthing Pod --> Wild Nacatl
Goblin Bombardment --> Goblin Welder
Brainstorm --> Stifle
Sometimes the cube environment becomes stale. It's quite fun to try out new cards you've never played before so in goes Vinelasher, Skirsdag, Noxious Revival, and Spined Thopter! Some returning cards too.
I agree with some of Eidolon's comments (the Roots, Tutor, and Vraska cuts mainly) but I can understand wanting to breath some fresh air. Let me know how Vinelasher works out, he is in my on-deck binder atm.
Not a fan of the following changes:
Ranger of Eos --> Enlightened Tutor
Vinelasher Kudzu --> Wall of Roots
Gathan Raiders --> Gemstone Mine
Fleshbag Marauder --> Dance of the Dead
Carrion Feeder --> N/A
Putrid Leech --> Vraska the Unseen
Birthing Pod --> Wild Nacatl
Enlightened Tutor I eventually want back in. My playgroup doesn't like it that much in most decks but I plan on bringing in a Sneak Attack package once I can grab a real Sneak Attack.
I've seen Vinelasher Kudzu played in wtwlf's cube quite a bit and now I want to put some +1/+1 counters on him. Especially with the new Hydra! Wall of Roots is fine, even sweet. Just want to get some aggro beats in.
I'm not, nor is my playgroup, a fan of Gemstone Mine outside of a greedy aggro deck. I've never tried out Gathan Raiders so I just have to test it out...
Fleshbag Marauder is okay, it hasn't done anything amazing... it's expendable. Dance of the Dead isn't a card I've ever played with so I wanted to try it out.
I like Carrion Feeder, just need some testing room... I really wanted him in, just didn't have room. (Notice that I'm at 448 cards, I'm missing 2 from my list still that I have in my actual cube, just haven't figured out which ones are missing yet)
Putrid Leech is VERY good and I want my cube to be more aggressive so he's back in. Plus he's a Zombie. Vraska is cool but until I do my all walker update at some point she's on the bench.
I like Wild Nacatl, but haven't had a chance to play Naya aggro too often, he's on the bench for another round of Pod, we'll see how it goes this time with a new batch of value creatures.
I agree with some of Eidolon's comments (the Roots, Tutor, and Vraska cuts mainly) but I can understand wanting to breath some fresh air. Let me know how Vinelasher works out, he is in my on-deck binder atm.
A breath of fresh air is the best way to put it. I see cube as something that should be changed a lot... never stagnate. Even a 20 card change can make the environment feel new and interesting.
I will likely be putting a lot of those cards back in at some point. I just like to throw my drafters off guard with new changes.
Usually it's OUT -----> IN showing that one card is becoming another. I like pretty much every card on the right more than the ones on the left. Especially Enlightened Tutor, Wild Nacatl and Gemstone Mine, which I'd probably cube at 180.
...Oh wow I had some of my cuts mixed up no wonder... for the record the original post is fixed and the ones I screwed up are the following:
In --> Out
Dauthi Marauder --> Carrion Feeder
Skirsdag High Priest --> Inquisition of Kozilek
Scion of Darkness --> Knight of Infamy
Dance of the Dead --> Fleshbag Marauder
Putrid Leech --> Vraska the Unseen
Lots of cards I never tried so not sure how many are staying.
Thanks btw wtwlf, I'll keep that in mind on my next update.
Dauthi Marauder --> Carrion Feeder
Skirsdag High Priest --> Inquisition of Kozilek
Scion of Darkness --> Knight of Infamy
Dance of the Dead --> Fleshbag Marauder
Putrid Leech --> Vraska the Unseen
Skirsdag is going to be too difficult to set up most of the time and is not as good as IoK. I don't think black needs an additional fattie in a 450, especially one so far below the standards of Grave Titan, Kokusho, Massacre Wurm, and Griselbrand. I'd try to keep Dance of the Dead and Fleshbag if possible, probably by not adding Scion and cutting Knight of Infamy for Dance.

I had the same thoughts about Skirsdag, probably should have tried to jam Carrion Feeder in while testing Skirsdag too...
Scion of Darkness is quite easy to reanimate but otherwise is a terrible card... I would like to see some testing but I think he'll be becoming Skeletal Vampire really soon. Our black decks could use some extra finishers though. Scion and the new 5cmc Demon from M14 are probably going to be enough for now.
Knight of Infamy is on the bench right now, with Dance of the Dead in my cube. Sorry about the confusion, it's my fault.
Dance of the Dead --> Fleshbag Marauder
This makes more sense. I already had a feeling that you got the order wrong, since your comment did not match the initial order.
I think Fleshbag is fine, being a creature makes you able to use him a bunch more. Dance of the Dead isn't a card I've ever seen played... plus the art is AMAZING. Must play.
Skirsdag High Priest --> Inquisition of Kozilek
Inquisition is a way better maindeck card than Duress. While its value decreases without the power 9, it is still a very good card.
The High Priest looks like one of those once in a blue moon cards.
I think Duress is better overall since black can usually deal with creatures but not artifacts or walkers. High Priest is interesting, have to see it in action.
Scion of Darkness --> Knight of Infamy
Scion is not easy to reanimate - it is easy to get into the graveyard, but you still require a reanimation spell for it. Since cycling costs 3 mana, you also don't get to attack with it before turn 5, so you might as well just play Ink-Eyes, Servant of Oni, which can be hardcast if necessary.
Yeah I was thinking Scion would be like you described. Gotta try it out.
I think Inquisition is a really good spell, and the Priest is a really bad creature.
Inquisition of Kozilek is a great spell, but I'm currently testing some new black cards. I've heard a lot of great things about Cabal Therapy plus I was surprised at how many times people were revealing cards from their hand/deck last time I played.
Skirsdag High Priest was really bad last time too. It's okay though because I don't mind trying out cards I haven't played even if I think they'll be bad... that's how I found out how good Mayor of Avabruck was.
This update pushes tokens with the addition of Assemble the Legion, Doomed Traveler, and Contamination.
Though in theory Dauthi Horror should be really awesome it constantly gets picked last and never excites anyone at our table... so I've decided to try something else in its spot.
Capsize is way out of touch with my cube today, though it once was an absolute beating.
I like Stronghold, Horror and Youth a lot more than the cards they are replacing, tokens or no. There aren't actually that many really good 1W and 1B aggressive guys and those two are crucial IMO. Assemble is a win if you can protect it, but is the game going to turn 7 at least (where you will really start to remotely profit) in your average R/W builds?
Cloistered Youth isn't great at racing and is a lot less good than I originally gave her credit for, I think she is plenty expendable.
Dauthi Horror is fine but he doesn't make anyone excited to play black aggro, and he doesn't have synergies other than putting on pressure. I think he probably deserves more credit in my playgroup, so he may see a return after some freshening up.
I'm a huge fan of RW Wildfire/Balance/Armageddon/etc control. Those decks generally get to turn 7+, and could use a little more support. Stronghold is good but my group and I aren't huge fans of it.
Yawgmoth's Will is good but not nearly as good as it is in a powered cube. I think it's not a staple by any means and I don't mind cutting it to test out some cards I've never seen in action.

Do I do my arrows different than most everyone else?
I cut Birthing Pod for that very reason but enough cards have changed that I have to give it another shot.
