Chimney Imp can lead to some broken plays if you have Recurring Nightmare. Your deck doesn't have Recurring Nighmare.
I assume Chimney Imp is in as a joke. Before too long that joke will get tired. I suggest you remove Chimney Imp about eighteen months before this occurs.
I like the coloured bars between your sections.
More constructively, I think you have the right idea, your curves are pretty good and you are wisely starting with a small cube from what I am guessing is a modest collection.
You seem OK with proxies. I would suggest proxying the "not yet in cube" cards and taking the thing for a few drafts. See what works and what doesn't. If a card isn't pulling its weight, look at alternatives at the same cost from other cubes.

Yeah I'll probably get rid of him but Recurring Nightmare is a great addition.
I feel like my curve is a little high. I think I need more midrange and weenie creatures to balance it out more. Most of the cards I'm adding are pretty cheap (dollar-wise) because I don't plan on spending that much and haven't played too long. Love to add all the fetches and shock lands but just don't have them all.

Thats what I plan on doing. I'd like to add some of the power nine, maybe even all of it. Not exactly willing to pay the price of the cards but I've seen many people with proxies they've made that turn out awesome. Anyone know how to get a hold of these? I realize it'll be hard to find them since they're kind of illegal to mass produce.
If your willing to pay a little for the proxies you could use Collectors Edition, that many people also use. (They are even Black Bordered, but have sharp corners)
What do you guys think of Breaking Point? I usually shy away from these cards that let your opponent choose something but I'll try it out. Browbeat is usually bad for me but other people like playing it so I threw it in there.
If your willing to pay a little for the proxies you could use Collectors Edition, that many people also use. (They are even Black Bordered, but have sharp corners)
I haven't played my cube very extensively yet. I don't think Fatespinner will be doing too much though. Fatespinner is only really good when you get two or three out in play which you won't see happening unless you Clone it but I really like the card because it's just a little weird.
My cube isn't designed for multi-player but I know I will play multi-player with it.
Hey guys I've been working really hard on my cube. I'm not really looking for a powered cube anymore, I just want a fun cube with silly wacky cards. I'm also looking for some "secret" graveyard hate. Some cards that remove cards from the yard but are really good to decently good by themselves as well.
First priority is any cards that are very different. I defiantly need more flip cards,
Even if the card isn't that good I just want to have a couple of cards that make people say "What? This is a card? How?" like the not-very-well-known Sweep mechanic, Barrel Down Sokenzan.
Vigor: priceless, when your opponent forgets about the abillity : "Block your 5/5, both creatures die?" -"1 +1/+1 counter, 2 +1/+1 counters, 3 +1/+1 counters..."
//erase the first letter of the last to cards to make them even more fun to play
Prowling Pangolin: you need the oracle wording for this card. it is currently a Anteater Beast
speaking of creature types: meet the flying plant zombie
Ixidron: bonus errata: shuffle and redistribute all morphs afterwards
@ graveyard hate:
[card]Stonecloaker
Jotun Grunt
Nezumi Graverobber
Withered Wrench
Coffin Queen
Ink-Eyes, Servant of Oni
Puppeteer Clique
Animate Dead
Loaming Shaman
Primal Command
Relict of Progentius[/card]
Awesome man! I like a lot of the suggestions. I also was thinking about double strike, the first time I saw it was on Char Rumbler which I think is a really cool card besides from it being crappy.
Ixidron, Veiled Sentry, and Chronozoa are incredibly awesome. I almost want to de-power some of my cards in the cube to make these shine.
I like Jotun Grunt but I don't think he would ever be swinging for more than 2 turns, especially in draft when decks don't go through as many cards, anyone play him in their cube?
So my friend who had recently quit magic though still is very interested in it had checked out my cube. He pretty much just said it's a great idea and started to pile in all of his cards. I'm so happy haha.
He put in foil Doubling Season, Survival of the Fittest , and a ton of other cards but those were the two I'm most happy about. Needless to say I need all of the planeswalkers now.
Anyways, my cube is now like 700 cards, not very even right now. Red has the short end of the stick by far. Me and my two friends were multiplayer drafting and one of my friends freaking pulls of the pickles lock.
Obviously we targeted him. We laughed so hard when he played down a morph. I was like Brine Elemental? Then another morph and I was like "Dude, if thats what I think it is..."
I ended up taking out a lot of the cards or wanted to. I do like that you gave me suggestions but some of them are way too powerful. I kind of had wishful thinking on putting Wren's Run Vanquisher and Wolf-Skull Shaman in my cube but I quickly found that they're horribly bad. I'm not putting Sinkhole in my cube unless it finds it's way into my hands, same goes for Goyf. Body Double has tons of synergy with other cards which is what I'm looking for. Chimney Imp was taken out rather quickly by the way.

Haha, good. My roommate tried to convince me that this was just a joke, and that it was never in there at all. My roommate owes me $10!
I don't mean to sound like a jerk or anything... but lots of Magic players have widely accepted Chimney Imp to be one of the absolute worst cards ever printed. We just we were just shocked to see it in a cubelist.

I just ordered some textless cards. Damnation for $13, Zombify for $2, and Ponder for $1.50, I'm quite happy about the Damnation because it seems even the untextless versions are about $10-13. And I just got my Psionic Blast for $2 in the mail, the art rules pretty hard, a lot better than the original which just looks like he has a headache.
I should be getting my sleeves in, I really cannot wait. I just want to cube all day.
I'm a bit unfamiliar with European ways of commas. That's about 56 cents right? I tried to register but under country there isn't USA.
Just reverse ',' and '.'
Btw - be careful about too many textless cards if you plan on cubing with people that aren't that familar with all magiccards. I've removed all of my textless and foreign cards because of this. So just think about it before you invest all your hard earned cash into textless cardboard. But it seems like a fair deal to pay $13 for Damnation.

True. I plan on creating a reference paper to show the players what cards they are. I don't plan on playing with lots of people, mostly the same people over and over so they'll learn the cards. I can't pass the Damnation anyways.
I'm trying to get my girlfriend who isn't much of a nerd to play with my cube. She only has played magic once and I do fear that the textless cards will make her not want to play. There aren't many formats that are forgiving to new players and cube is pretty unforgiving, mostly the drafting part. I'll probably start her off by playing one of the decks that had been drafted previously, I know all the mechanics are going to be very fun to memorize...
And I don't see people's love in foreign cards. I do have a foreign Mana Tithe though (one of my favorite spells.) But we all know the textless version is so beautiful.
Well, I don't have a love for all foreign cards, but I do like the way Japanese looks on Magic cards... it's just aesthetically pleasing. I'm not so fond of newer foreign cards either. However, I find the Japanese cards from Mirage - Saga (before foils were available) to be the most "pimp" versions available.
Hey guys. I just did a HUGE update, took a nasty four hours worth of work but as long as I keep getting feedback it's alright. I'm moving my cube towards the more powered side as I stated before and trying to even out my colors once again.
I'm looking for/to:
2cmc green creatures
3cmc red creatures
even out my colors (including multicolor)
A couple of years ago one of my main missions was to Pimp out my cube with lots of foriegn language cards.
however, it was a real pain to explain to new players or even old school players what new cards did with a new language (Russian) and artwork (post 8th ed reprints).
I eventually decided that i would keep my Cube as readable as possible with the exception of a few very easily recognizable cards.
This also helped when someone bought virtually all my Chinese and Japanese foils at GP Brighton. I then rebought all the cards i sold for English versions. (at a lower cost too)
They look nice, but if you find it difficult with your regular playing crowd i think its an unecessary annoyance to have lots of foreign cards.
That's really awesome that you were able to make money and find all of those cards again. Finding those cards sounds like a pain. I did get a lot of textless cards but I'm sure my friend will be fine. Most of the textless cards just have too beautiful art to pass up. Speaking of this I'd love the full art Doran and such. So awesome.

Korean cards of that era looks so much better imo.
red 3mana creatures: Keldon Vandals: reuseable artifact removal and 4 power will do / prevent a lot of damage, since players don't want to throw away there good creatures for this one. Squee, Goblin Nabob: very abusive card and not limited to a color Sulfur Elemental: does a good work against control + weenies but even a power3 surprise attacker / blocker isn't too bad Taurean Mauler: gets big very fast + changeling is a very fun interaction with certain cards. Jaya Ballard, Task Mage: Usually you are using the Incinerate mode of the card, but it also gives red an out against Control Magic and a finisher/ board sweeper.
River Boa: since you have already experience with the other Boa, you know that this is a nice card Wall of Blossoms Wall of Roots: Both walls absorb a lot of damage. You can get additional value out of the first with something like Erratic Portal + it is cheap to recast. Wall of Routs is actually free, since you can get 1 mana the turn you play it and a second mana during your opponents turn if needed. Turn 2 Wall of Roots, Turn 4 Ravenous Baloth or something similar is very annoying for aggressive decks.
I had Jaya Ballard, Task Mage in my cube but I think my friend took it out. I really think it's a great cube card. Squee, Goblin Nabob is going to be added pretty quickly too. I love that card since it's one of my favorite green card's best friend. Can you guess which card that is?
Keldon Vandals is great, have been weighing whether or not to include him but since I'm thinking I'll add Jitte I have to add him but my artifact and enchantment hate seems too common, especially when I don't have too many enchantments.
Ravenous Baloth and Wall of Roots were supposed to be in my cube too but just keep forgetting about them. Garruk + Ravenous Baloth = Good game.
Man keep your suggestions coming! They're awesome.
@favorite green card: This just has to be Survival of the Fittest (which should be coming with the post in the next few days )
If you think you have too much artifact removal, I would just replace Hearth Kami with the Vandals, which can destroy more expensive artifacts without completely tapping out.
I am glad you like my suggestions.
Is there a deeper sense behind the strange combination of your nick+avatar (robot chicken / my little pony invasion)?
Robot Chicken? How dare you. That show is bad and you should feel bad.
Not sure, my user name has stuck with me since about 5 years ago and I just like the color pink, notice my pink cube.

Cards that I think are pretty suboptimal and what I'd suggest to replace them, in parthesis:
Order of Whiteclay (Kor Sanctifiers)
Kismet (Exalted Angel)
Telepathy (Mystical Tutor)
Dream Thrush (Looter il-Kor)
Fatespinner (Serendib Efreet)
Body Double (Control Magic)
Deep-Sea Kraken (Morphling)
Rewind (Treachery)
Sangrophage (Blind Creeper)
Flesh Reaver (Dark Confidant)
Royal Assassin (Hypnotic Specter)
Fleshwrither (Juzam Djinn)
Priest of Gix (Bane of the Living)
Chimney Imp (this joke will get old fast) (Kokusho, the Evening Star)
Rain of Tears (Sinkhole)
Ambition's Cost (Night's Whisper)
Lava Spike (Chain Lightning)
Chain of Plasma (Magma Jet)
Fire Whip (Blood Knight, your red 2 drops are really low)
Uncontrolled Infestation (Slith Firewalker)
Breaking Point (Hammer of Bogardan)
Grinning Ignus (Keldon Vandals)
Wren's Run Vanquisher (Tarmogoyf)
Wolf-Skull Shaman (Wall of Blossoms)
Thorn Elemental (Cloudthresher)
Wurmcalling (Indrik Stomphowler)
I used to write cube articles on StarCityGames, now for GatheringMagic and podcast about cube (w/Antknee42.)

I was planning on putting Kor Sanctifiers in there, Blood Knight as well. Blind Creeper is great! I'm on a budget, mostly because I only play cube now.
For some reason I just don't have red love, I know. ;_;
And on a side note I haven't listened to Bodom since like four years ago but kept the name. I'm more of a Opeth or Devin Townsend man now.

Any suggestions on where to get unhinged lands for less than $2? My friend also handed me about 10 mountains and 2 lonely plains.
Personally Great Wall is my self-acclaimed worst card. It hits Zodiac Rooster, Righteous Avengers, Graceful Antelope, and Aysen Highway.
