I wonder if it's cheaper to get CE duals or just get my revised ones altered. The white borders bother me a bit. CE duals (and some other cards) have gone up in price with the popularity of EDH. Those players have gotten hip to the fact that CE is the cheapest way to get black-bordered duals.
I wish the old art for Savannah Lions was available as a foil. The most recent art on the Lions is pretty bad.

If you already have revised ones, I'd send them all to Poxy14 to get custom art. His prices are really good and his altered dual lands are out of this world.
They're all the ones in here with his gold signature at the bottom:
I'm another voice in favour of the CE for cube. I traded my revised duals to go a fair way towards paying for the CE set. That meant I got my power 9 on the cheap, and all the other sweet black bordered cards are just gravy.
Buying a set is a big outlay, but it is going up in value. Make sure you double sleeve and even if you do decide to sell later you'll probably at least break even.
"When I use a word," Humpty Dumpty said, in rather a scornful tone, "it means just what I choose it to mean - neither more nor less." -Lewis Carroll, Through the Looking Glass
I ended up buying a whole lot of CE cards individually over time, as I didn't have the cash to buy a whole set at once. I even bought the duals individually from different places/people so that I could spread the cost out over time. $1000+ is a big investment on cardboard in one hit! I still don't have CE P9 though.

Wow, I never actually got that impulse. They are ridiculously hard to find around here for some reason. And now that I think about it, I might not at all. We'll see if anyone gives me a convincing enough argument to warrant me locating one.

I love Impulse, and I don't consider it cuttable until we get instant-speed Ponders somewhere in the distant future. I'd certainly keep it here. The other two cuts look fine.
My vote is to cut Inkwell Leviathan. In the age of Titans this card is no longer necessary.
I think it's fine to cut that card at 360 (I've done so in my much larger cube). Unless you specifically want a shrouded convenience store with trample, there are other robots, equipment, etc. that interact just as well with Tinker as Inkwell Leviathan, and don't take up valuable blue slots.
I'd run Inkwell in a large cube (probably 630+) to keep my Tinker target count high and add in another reanimation/ramp target. But in small cubes, the other colorless finishing creatures are stronger options and Inky isn't a necessity.
I hated cutting Inkwell Leviathan when I removed it from my cube. But early Sundering Titans, Myr Battlespheres and Wurmcoil Engines are just as good, and they're playable in a lot more decks.

I should run battlesphere. I don't at the moment but I guarantee there's something I can cut for it.
Also, I've been missing Slagstorm. It's usually pretty solid, I want to make room for it again.
I've seen Shadowmage Infiltrator in a deck about twice in the past year. Anyone know if there's any hidden gem out there that could give it a run for its money? Even if it's good, no one who cubes here wants it apparently and I'd rather see something not sitting in the unused pile every single time. Havengul Lich maybe? I might test it just because I have a spare.
That would definitely be one way to do it. It just never seems to find its way into my pool in sealed. And lately in draft I've been trying to get away from drafting U/x control every time. Either that or it always finds a way to show up late to the party and I already got a strong U/r or U/g thing going. It's like some unseen force doesn't want it to happen.
For the record I've probably drafted or sealed U/B or U/B/r around a dozen times now that I can recall. Out of those I got him 3 or 4. In the games with those decks, I've only cast him once or twice. Also, after looking at my other options, he's definitely staying.
Totally agreed with Donald. And it's not just good in control. I'd probably run it in any UB deck I built, except hard aggro (but how often is UB hard aggro?).

UB Tempo? Idk, I've yet to see a straight UB deck come out of a cube as anything but control. My mid-range decks tend to not involve blue very often.
Shadowmage Infiltrator is amazing. It's like the first card in your pile that gets included in any UB deck out there, no matter what archetype you're playing. Especially control. Start drafting it and playing it, and people will immediately learn to do the same.

Those are crazy good. Maybe I'll sell off my extra duals to get my cube duals altered. Very tempting.

Impulse is great. Not sure if it's 360 material, but it always gives you value.

Turn 2 or 3 Inkwell is so awesome, but alas, consistency over bombyness.
This still leaves the issue of finding an impulse though.
Also, anyone got some spare shocks laying around? I'm 4 away...
