The problem is that the cycling lands don't do anything that your other cards don't do. They either tap for mana, or they become another card in your deck. Neither ability makes these cards worth running.
That said, I plan on making 5 land cuts and adding a card to each monocolor section. Not sure what cards will be going in yet, but the cuts should be rather easy.
Oh, and I have the pictures for each section up now. They aren't of the best quality and I was getting a little restless by the end of the whole thing, since I also double sleeved it today(err yesterday). Also, I don't have all the cards for the latest changes so the white section gets photobombed by Loxodon Mystic and Lairwatch Giant until I get their replacements.
Edit: Just noticed that all the pictures are tiny. That's annoying, but I'm done fooling with it for now. I might post some pictures of just the alters so you guys can get a better idea of what I've got.
Sweet Nice alters! I like the Bob-omb Phyrexian War Beast (cos it kind of 'explodes' when it dies?) Pyramid Head is cool, but I love "It's super effective"
The bomb-omb and Pyramid head are definitely two of my favorites. P Head, looks particularly sick. Honestly though, I like them all. It just feels so right drafting when 79%(as of now) of the cards are either foil or alters.
I'll repost some new pictures with close up of the alters in a few days, as I have more coming in.
I actually think blue might be a tad overpowered in the cube, and when it wins, it's not that fun. Even this UW Flyers deck I ran tonight just locked out three of my opponents with Capsize.
Blue is definitely powerful, but I feel that having a healthy amount of aggro keeps it in check. We haven't had a problem of really any color winning a disproportionate amount of the time, although I wish G had a common Stone Rain.
If Capsize is straight up locking your opponents out of the game, they probably didn't build aggressive enough decks. I mean, it's a good spell and all, but most times, aside from control mirrors, it will be a nice utility spell at the cost of being kind of slow.
I think that red and black are more powerful than blue (and agreed RE: Capsize, it's a great card but it does jack against something like an aggressive RB deck and certainly isn't unbeatable.)
The pauper cube evaluation has gotten me to analyze my commons cube more and my recent edit of it (in my blog) was pretty much the result of it. I think W and G are good but I think playing to their strengths more should help them more.
Blue is by far the most skill intensive colour, I love going blue. People around me always know this and hatedraft all the good blue stuff
Green doesn't do too well here at all. I've only drafted two or three green decks (!) because I normally avoid green like the plague when drafting. That doesn't count green splashes, just as a main colour, I almost always splash for Sprout Swarm when I get passed it (in control).
Red is, in my opinion, the best colour in cube. Better than blue, even, because burn is so abundant and good and that's all you need going for it really in slower decks and it has tremendous early creatures to back up the slew of burn spells. I've won drafts by forcing mono-red too many times.
Black, on the other hand, is really balanced here. Of course, I'm running all the same broken black spells as everyone else and most of the time Hymn to Tourach wins the game, but the fact that it has only so many efficient early creatures puts a limit on how good it can be. Granted, BR is very easy and also very good, but that's generally much more of a red deck.
White is really rather boring. It's really not very focused at all (maybe that's my cube, but I don't know), and you'll probably get the cards you need for whatever type of deck you want to make, but there's no real defining feature apart from the mana costs. It does make some brutal archetypes though, UW and WR are both great and BW can be insane if it's drafted right.
Well, more of the point I was making was that blue is sometimes not fun to go against (and Capsize is the king of that). Oh well, we'll just have to see.
I think currently control and aggro are pretty even in my cube right now, and there are more aggro cards and hence a lot more people draft it. If you get a fast enough deck, you can just destroy other people; same for a strong enough control deck.
I know we're almost up to it in the evaluation thread, but why are you running Convolute (seems extremely overcosted) and not Exclude? Exclude is card advantage on a hardcounter, and control mainly cares about creature spells anyway.
I never understood the infatuation with Exclude, as removal can deal with creatures as well and you can topdeck those. Convolute is essentially a hard counter, but maybe I should reevaluate it.
I suppose convolute is very hard to pay, and kind of works out like a 2U Cancel and while that's nothing to write home about, it's still solid. I still think that Exclude is much better as it's normally creatures that are the relevant targets anyway in this format, making it possibly better than Dismiss here, which we can't play but would be bonkers if we could.
Rethink might be a better cut, I'm not sure how well it really would work but it seems that it is rather useless against low CMCs, especially anything like late game.
I know I was a little hard on Carapace in my review, but having given it some more thought, I think it at least deserves a chance. It's not like I'll be missing either artifact I'm dropping.
Well, I just went to the thread and saw the banner, which has been there since the day I got it as far as I know. If you can't see it, I'm on my phone, so I can't do much about that.

Oh, cool. I must've missed it earlier. I haven't checked in a while until just a few hours ago, a my Internet's been slow as hell recently, so some images don't even load for me. But yeah, I see it now.

I cube, I play EDH, and I can't afford Legacy. The other formats can suck it.

Two really unexciting creatures get the axe for 2 cards that will probably always make the MD. Very pleased with this update.

Oh, I'm definitely getting stuff from this. I mean, there are cards that I just plain forgot or missed from other lists, not that I check those much.
Glad we finally got to the U spell section. Probably my favorite section in the cube.
