The fact that Morphling is better than the compared creature has nothing to do with whether they can or can not be compared.
You may compare them to one another if you want, but I don't consider them comparable creatures. One is just a finisher, and the other is an attacker and a blocker. To each their own.
Soltari Priest - My friends doesn't like white creatures with Shadow. Soltari Trooper - My friends doesn't like white creatures with Shadow. Soltari Champion - My friends doesn't like white creatures with Shadow. Soltari Visionary - My friends doesn't like white creatures with Shadow.
Tidespout Tyrant - Dumb fatty, we have better finishers in blue. Hinder - It always ended up like worse Cancel. Opportunity - Overcosted.
Sudden Spoiling - Worst removal in our cube. didn't helped so much.
To bad they don't like the white shadow creatures. I think they're cube staples and really important to white aggro's success.
I think Hinder is a good card, but I can see it barely missing the cut in a 500 card cube. It's certainly always better than Cancel though.
Ravenous Baboons is a great card for us, but maybe your playgroup doesn't value nonbasics as highly as we do. This dude always has targets here.
We love Absorb. Against aggro it's either a counter and a time walk or a two counterspells in one card. I understand some people don't like it, but it's been nothing short of amazing here.
There are a few questionable cuts on that list, but the shadow guys are probably the most questionable, IMO. What problem do your friends have with white shadow guys?
I'll never understand why people remove cards for being too good. I thought that's why cards went in the cube, not why that came out.
It just depends on what the playgroup wants. Not all cubes are the standard superpowers.
I do suggest however adding some shadow guys in the other colors. This would make the ability more like flying and then try the white shadow guys out again.
What you suggest me to remove/put in my color sections to make each of them contain 65 cards? (For example, what 4 cards you suggest me to put in my white section, 1 card for blue, etc...)
Sorry just saw this thread, and the morphling vs Jwar Isle is just strange. I mean it depends on your cube (and no I don't mean what your play group likes).. I mean if you were in my case and you just didn't have enough blue cards to run, run both, if it came down to choosing which one... Morphling. Hands freaking down. Morphling as explained already is in an entirely different ball game. No need to really explain it further, as its been said why.
Also, "putting something on a pedestal" usually means, its unwarranted or with out sound reasoning, or we just put him there because that's the only way I know how to explain his greatest. If one can explain such a thing with out saying this phrase, then saying that it is, is well much like my attempt at an explanation, redundant.
You can compare anything. Sure. But there is some realization that has to be done to some degree or you will never complete a cube ever. Because you'll constantly be looking at similarities rather than advantages.
Morphling got knocked down just a bit with the stacking damage nerf, and you have to remember that's when he came out, after those rules came into play when you could stack damage, and there for, he was with out a doubt, eligible for the title "Super Man".
First of all, I see no need in ressurecting a two month old debate. Second of all, a defense for Morphling isn't warranted here. No one was arguing that he was bad or shouldn't be included. My point was just that he was similar to the Sphinx and comparable as far as slots for blue finishers go. Wtwlf disagreed. We debated the issue for a bit, agreed to disagree, and moved on.
I don't know about you guys, but for me, Morphling is worse than the sphinx because I can't afford to the price of Morphling :-).
Anyway, what do you think about my latest changes? The
Acid Moss is even a good card?

Sorry, my post wasn't to necro anything, this thread was already up. i should have looked at the dates of the debate, I just assumed it was with in the last two pages so it was recent >_<.

Mind Twist should be a staple, IMO. And Thornling is definitely an upgrade from Acid-Moss.

It's cool, man. I Just don't want to repeat the same debate over again.
i'd drop tuk-tuk and keep jackal pup. jackal pup is so good, and so are those other cards (although there are arguments against stone rain and hearth kami).
edit: looking at your red section, why even run goblin guide? it's the only one drop aggro guy in red. do you play a lot of multiplayer or something?
When I see Healing Salve, I'm often like "Oh girl, I wish I could turn every card into this." Thanks they removed the gain life part, otherwise this would have been broken.
Why on earth would you take out Jackal Pup and add in Tuk-Tuk. The Pup is a great 1-drop for red aggro decks and Tuk-Tuk looks really subpar. I also really like Magus of the Scroll, although some on this forum don't.
Wretched Anurid is better than either of the black cards you are adding.
The rest of the changes are good. wtwlf will surely question removing Stone Rain and Words of War.
+1
Sry, but I don't agree with your red cuts at all, especially if one of these cards is making room for Tuktuk. If you want to remove something from red, I would look at these cards first:

This. Everyone of the red cards you are cutting is better than anyone of these cards. Cut these long before you touch Jackal Pup and friends.
