Number of cards - 500
Breakdown - 65 of each color, 65 artifacts, 45 gold, and 65 lands.
Snow Lands - Yes
"Un-" Cards - Yes
Average Players - 2-4
Powered? - How much as our budget can.
Even Color Balance: Yes
And now - The white cards: Update - Blue cards! Update 2 - Black cards! Update 3 - Red cards and Cube's breakdown! Update 4 - All the cards are up now - Please help me to balance the cube!
Our norm is 2-4 and our cube is 550. We sometimes have around 6 or so, but most of the time it's 2-4. I like the variety it gives, plus the convenience to run two or more drafts out of one shuffled cube.
may i ask why you have different number of cards in different colours?

I am petitioning for the end of: the Mythic rarity, the Planeswalker card type, the post-8th edition card faces, the 2010 rule changes, colorless cards that aren't artifacts or lands, the Legendary supertype, the stack, auras, multicolor cards, artifact creatures, tokens, goblins, merfolk, elves, sorceries, instants, and permanents. Basically, I just want to play with purple contraptions.
Copy this sig to join the cause. Cuz, ya know, Wizards makes decisions based on sigs.
well, he has white at 81 and blue at 79, is he asking for cards to remove and add to balance it?

Yes, I asked for:
1) How much cards of each color/type I need to put in my cube if it has 500 cards?
2) What I need to remove/put to balance the cube/make it better?
Agree with all of eidolon232's comments, although you really don't need dark confidant (nor well he be any good) unless you have a lot of black aggro support in place first.
What I think needs to be addressed is how you at twice as many black spells than creatures.
I recommend cutting
Basically I cut a bunch of generic removal spells and a few creature that just isn't very efficient, I try to make sure all my recommendations are U/C or cheap rares, unfortunately on the recurring nightmare, I think you just have to buy/trade for one, you really need it.

Thanks for the suggets, but my group don't like:
1) Creatures that deals damage to you (like Vampire Lacerator)
2) Creatures with Shadow (because they are hard to block and hard to remove)
All these suggestions have been great but I think Dark Confidant should go in any deck that plays black. Most of the time, it will be better worth it to remove the higher CMC cards than Dark Confidant alone. And as soon as you can shove Dark Confidant in your cube because it's one of the best creatures (up there with Goyf and Walletslayer but luckily doesn't cost as much money.)
Thanks for the suggets, but my group don't like:

2) Creatures with Shadow (because they are hard to block and hard to remove)
Why?
Aggro looks like it's really in need of a shot in the arm, especially because of these.

1. Start thinking of your life total as a resource to use. Life totals usually don't matter until the last one is gone. Up until that point, if you can use your life total to gain an advantage (an undercosted beater, card advantage, etc.), it's often worth it to do so.
2. Shadow really makes aggro in cube viable--not by itself, but it really helps. Most shadow creatures are not hard to remove (the soltari brothers being an obvious exception--which is why they are so good) and being hard to block is the whole point of then. They are perfect cards for aggro decks, and some control decks can make use of them.
Before I dig in the multi colour section, do you want your colour pairs to be balanced or not?
Also the land section is sort of difficult as these are usually the most expensive section of the cube :/

As always, eidolon's list is really solid. I have some disagreements, so I'll post them to give you a different opinion:
Void is my second favorite BR cards after Teminate. I'd run it over the Redcap or Specter for sure.
I prefer Spitting Image to Lorescale Coatl or Snakeform. Simic Sky Swallower is clearly better than all of these, so it should come in when you can get one. I'd just cut the Coatl or Snakeform for it rather than Image.
I'd cut Agony Warp to bring in the Tar Pit instead of Psychatog, but the Psychatog debate has been hashed to death here.
I really love Glare of Subdual. More than the Sledge or Nishoba.
1) What I can cut from the green section to go to 65?
And yap - I saw Nevermore_of_Shadows's Opinion about it, but he want to cut so much good cards (Twinblade Slasher, Vine Trellis, Mwonvuli Acid-Moss...)
2) I said that I don't want the colour pairs to be balanced...
Out of all the cards eidolon lists, the only one I really like is Twinblade Slasher. The Acid-Moss and Scryb Ranger aren't bad and I had both in my cube for a while. However, they ultimately didn't make the cut. It would be safe to cut every other card that eidolon listed.
I'd cut Vigor, Protean Hulk or Deadwood Treefolk for the Woodfall Primus. I don't think there's anything I would remove for Rude Awakening, but I'm positive you'll get suggestions from other cube members.

Basically I cut a bunch of generic removal spells and a few creature that just isn't very efficient, I try to make sure all my recommendations are U/C or cheap rares, unfortunately on the recurring nightmare, I think you just have to buy/trade for one, you really need it.

1) Creatures that deals damage to you (like Vampire Lacerator)
2) Creatures with Shadow (because they are hard to block and hard to remove)
Why?
Aggro looks like it's really in need of a shot in the arm, especially because of these.
I used to write cube articles on StarCityGames, now for GatheringMagic and podcast about cube (w/Antknee42.)
Anyway, the red section is up!
