Yeah, I have toyed around with all the fateful absence/ get lost and other 2 mana removals we have gotten lately. They are all fine, but this just takes that slot and closes the door on the conversation. I guess I wouldnt want 10 of these type of cards but I dont know what 360 normal cube wouldn't run this, stp, and path.
I do think some amount of tokens/ thraben inspectors, and creatures going to the graveyard like solitude will get turned into ramp.
Early frontrunner for best card in the set. Planeswalkers were already a dying breed in cube, and this card is akin to an extinction event. A good deal worse than Path to Exile for dealing with creatures, but I'd still consider it premium removal.
Absolutely insane to get this efficient of removal in the year 2026. I think this is better than path (losing exile to gain more targets), but who are we kidding I'm just going to run all 3.

The easiest like for like calculus would be to just replace your worst white removal spell with this. I'd imagine most people's worst white removal spell isn't Path to Exile.

That's the correct answer, no idea why my brain jumped to cutting Path being the main option.
I personally wouldn't want to play this, Swords, and Path all in the same small cube. Too samey. So I'd play this over Path just because it's more different than Swords. But I know that's not how most people look at it.

Depends on the cube. Single targeted removal is pretty mundane, so there's bound to be redundancy in most scenarios. IMO not playing this alongside Path to Exile / Swords to Plowshares is like not wanting to play Ignoble Hierarch alongside Birds of Paradise / Noble Hierarch or Abrade alongside Incinerate / Cathartic Pyre.
