I forgot to write this card down for my article. I like how this is a good combination of Dragonlord Atarka's stats / clock / ETB trigger / being green for Natural Order while having good resilience and ability to curb / race aggro like Sphinx of the Steel Wind. Protection from black and white means it dodges most removal. It essentially comes with Sphinx's protection from red and green built in since it's not an artifact and is a flyer with 10 toughness. Sweepers aside, only blue can really interact with it with things like Brazen Borrower / Jace, the Mind Sculptor / Cryptic Command / Mystic Confluence. While blue has a good number of things that can block this, most of them only have 1 toughness and are easily shot down by Ureni. It's also very worth noting that blue's best token generator, Occult Epiphany, produces WHITE 1/1 spirits with flying, not blue.
While its ETB trigger isn't as good as Atarka's on average because it's dependent on how many lands you control, the fact it's a turn 2 clock that can shoot down most things that can block it AND have protection from most other flyers makes this still very strong even when cheated out early. This reminds me a lot of Valgavoth / Koma, World-Eater with its clock and resilience. Those have been doing very well for me, and I think this will perform just as well. I'm also still playing Dragonlord Atarka / Sphinx of the Steel Wind. Those are two of my lower priority cheaty face hits, so consolidating them both down to Ureni seems like a really good deal for me.
Hadn't seen this one, it looks pretty good. I see it as a hybrid of Atarka and Progenitus.
For U more than Atarka we lose trample and the reliability of 5 split dmg, but gain 2/2 worth of stats and pro white and black.
Mostly a Natural Order target as it's not that great with Flash/Sneak/Reanimate.
In the end I think it's not for me because it's rather narrow, which I don't mind if the card adds a cool dimension / looks fun, but here the play patterns also don't look particularly interesting.
One thing somebody mentioned to me today that I totally forgot about is that the pro black means this is incompatible with Animate Dead / Necromancy / Dance of the Dead. Not a dealbreaker for me still wanting to test it, but that is a very relevant drawback worth noting.

Also might be a bonus if you are considering this from the draft perspective as a fatty that won't get picked up by reanimator decks and has more of a dedicated role in natural order decks if you need that.

I think this depends on your playgroup. I've had games where someone thought:

I think this depends on your playgroup. I've had games where someone thought:
- you can Shallow Grave a Blightsteel Colossus
- the Orcish Bowmasters would trigger off Day's Undoing
If 2 cards are fairly even, I opt for the card with fewer rulings like this.
