Edit: Cori-Steel Cutter replaces Chandra, Acolyte of Flame. I underestimated how easy it is to repeatedly trigger this equipment. It can perform well in Mono-Red aggro, Izzet cantrip tempo decks, and Boros go-wide token decks. It's even fringe useful in Gruul rampy stompy decks as a haste+trample enabler for giant monsters.

Elsbeth, Storm Slayer replaces Gideon, Ally of Zendikar. I think she'd be great without doubling season (assuming she would make 2 1/1s). With doubling season, it just means that every once in a while something particularly silly is going to happen organically simply by her being on the battlefield. Those are my favorite moments in magic. I have enormous expectations for this card.

Ugin, Eye of the Storms replaces Karn, Liberated. I don't think this is great, but @Steve_Man made a great point that it is a clean upgrade to Karn (which I still run for some reason).

Descendant of Storms replaces Student of Warfare. Maybe. We're pretty low on 2/1's with upside in white. But SoW is pretty terrible these days. It will be the latest in a long string of marginal upgrades of cards that nobody drafts in my cube.

Qarsi Revenant replaces Braids, Arisen Nightmare. She was a very failed experiment and long past her expiration date.

Edit:
Mardu Siegebreaker was just spoiled. this seems...sick? 1WRB for a 4/4 deathtouch haste with wrath protection which goes insane with any ETB effect on another creature. I want to test this.

Might Test / Other Considerations:

Ugin, Eye of the Storms - If somehow the upgrade justifies running a 7 mana Planeswalker, this could get in. Doubt it though.
Elspeth, Storm Slayer - I think planeswalkers like this are a dying breed but this one looks pretty good, could consider it.
Nature's Rhythm - There was no post about this, it's GSZ that costs one more green but can get creatures from any color and has a fringe flashback. Usually would not consider this but there are some green card that need replacing (Exploration, Sylvan Library, Oath of Druids, etc etc) so we will see.

Refreshing to see a Magic set that doesn't feel like a joke theme!

• Songcrafter Mage (I want to believe. Might Test.)

• Ugin, Eye of the Storms (Debating: I would skip on this one, but some of our group thinks it's excellent looking at you @spicay. Might Test.)

Bets on these being Sleepers Hits:

• Ainok Strike Leader (This feels very strong for 2 mana. It synergizes with tokens themes in Red and White and with Ajani, Nacatl Pariah since the token this creature makes is a RED goblin. Add on the fact that it can protect from a board wipe in a red white tokens theme. I think people should give this one a try and see how it plays out.

I'm surprised you're the only one mentioning Sage of the Skies. I was excited by the idea of a Lotus Petal or a mox into this, but the more I thought about it, the more I started to feel the ceiling on it didn't feel as worth it when the floor of the card felt so low to me. Also, felt like it had some odd play patterns of holding a 1 drop and this till turn 4 to play it, which seems clunky. Wonder how this plays out for you.

For me it's gonna be

White:
Descendant of Storms. A little more interesting than Usher of the Fallen I believe.
Voice of Victory. Looks very cubable.
Elspeth, Storm Slayer. The first Planeswalker in a while that I am considering adding Hoping to get one cheap.

Blue:
nothing

Black:
mayyyybe Sinkhole Surveyor. Black's twos are all so interesting imo, it's not too easy to find a cut.

Red:
Stadium Headliner. I think this is one of red's more interesting onedrops and am excited to try it.

Green:
***edit*** Forgot about Heritage Reclamation. My cube group would like to have some more flexible tools against reanimator strategies, so I am gonna test this.

Multicolor:
maybe testing Mardu Siegebreaker, though I am not the biggest fan of three colour cards in my cube.

That's probably gonna be it.

I really like this set but there aren't a huge number of cube cards in it. I guess 3-5 cards for a 465-powered cube is pretty decent though. White made out like a bandit.

Slam Dunks: Cori-Steel Cutter, Ugin, Elspeth, Descendent of the storm

Tier 2 watching: Sinkhole Surveyor, Voice of Victory, Stadium Headliner . Overall I am much lower on mobilize than the average reviews I have seen. Has cool synergies but I worry people thinking about best/better case scenarios

Gold: I run a small gold section and brutally cut here so expect gold cards to be stupidly powerful, drive people to play colors and prefer them to be broken/undercosted/best in class / unique. I really like songcrafter mage, Raksasha's bargin, Eshki Dragoncalw, and Temur Battlecrier but dont know if any are good enough for my high bar

I watched Cori-Steel Cutter singlehandedly win a game last night. Card is busted and every cube should be running it, unless you ban on power level.

Can also confirm steel cutter is stronger than I anticipated.

Voice of victory has been very good for me feeling like a 2 mana hanweir garrison

Does voice feel ok when its alone? I worry that some 2 power flyer or 3 power hard to kill 2 drop might be better than temporary tokens

The static ability has been a very relevant upside; card's been quite good so far.
