It's no Damnation, and probably won't make it in smaller cubes, but I think it's an interesting option for larger cubes looking for enough wrath like effects in black. it's not as great as clearing the board against aggro decks, but it does play differently than both languish and Toxic Deluge. I think I would prefer this over Languish, with Damnation being a good catch-all, Toxic Deluge being able to hit faster, and selectively not taking out your own fatties if you want, and this being a little weaker to smaller threats, but stronger against big fatties, and being splashable.

I do prefer this over Languish as well, though Toxic Deluge is still a few tiers above this. Is it the third-best wrath in black? I also like it more than Yahenni's Expertise -- even though it's probably closer to a Barter in Blood or a kill spell than a true wrath.

I'm concerned that this is too bad against the 1-drop into 2-drop curves. Most likely a pass for us unless it over-performs in others' testing.

I think this card looks pretty bad, and I certainly wouldn't play this over Languish.

Word. There are so many board states where this will barely help you or may actually hurt you. Hard pass.

Splashable and potentially asymmetric, plus it exiles. That said, it is too inconsistent. This is much worse than Languish, IMO.

I don't know, when i have tried languish, to many times it sits in my hand and i realize i can't kill the threat that i am actually worried about. At least with this, I know i can get rid of the threat if needed
