The green stat monster we've always wanted. I'm in shock that this has zero downside. Hits planeswalkers hard, especially since most tokens that planeswalkers generate can't block this.
"All right R&D interns, it's that time again. Here we have a 2GG 4/4 called... uhhhh... what's this set again? Fairy tales? Called 'Questing Beast'. Now reach into the bowl of abilities and start throwing them onto the card until we run out of space or we get it to... ugh, all the way to mythic. I'm gonna go get another scotch, tell me where it ended up tomorrow."
Powerful keyword combo, evasion against aggro and can stonewall aggro, and the ability to just go to the face and hit a PW simultaneously?
This is going to make it in. I think my only strike against this card is that it is best against aggro where midrange is already favored. Pretty good in midrange mirrors to though. Control decks generally aren't too concerned except for the haste.
As I was reading this card I just kept assuming the next block of text was going to be the drawback, then I re-read it assuming I had misread something, but no, its all upside.
Card seems pretty nuts, almost doesnt feel like a real card though; none of the abilities feel connected and they dont even all feel 100% green. That being said its a slam dunk into cube for me.

Wizards is like. Legendary. There's your downside. Cubers are like. Singleton format, don't care.

Somewhere Erithizon is looking forward in time at this card and just crying quietly.
Finally green gets a 4 drop that wouldn't be embarrassing in another color. Our meta currently has a lot of tokens and planeswalkers, so this will be stronger than usual.
Doesn't feel right to me. I mean, I am happy for those who seek to include all the power they get into their Cube... but this is nothing I would want to cube, it just feels kind of bland and uninspired.
I am also not playing True-Name Nemesis due to similar reasons - which irony, that it's a card that helps against it. It's like Wizards is creating a small minigame for your Cubes in which one silly card beats the next silly monstrosity

While this card is very good and close to an auto include on its power level, careful not to go too far in evaluating it.
It is still a 4 mana card that generates little value through removal.. unlike true name that is truly oppressive against many decks.
I’d argue that a 4 mana creature that doesnt generate value on etb needs to be almost this pushed to be competitive.
Remember how insane brimaz looked when it was first spoiled? Still a great card but no where near true name nemesis, and still very fair.
though , the haste -> snipe planeswalker gives this card a leg up on cards that generate no value through sorcery speed removal
Card is great, but all this talk of it being unprecidented is a little too much. Is it better than Thrun? maybe but they could have been made by the same designers. It is certainly no Carnage Tyrant as far as ending games. It's probably better than the woodland Wanderer I have in the slot now but not by a lot.
Yeah this seems great. A lot of the text is gonna be trinket text a lot of games but I think a 4/4 vig deathtouch haste for 4 would be testable anyway, and the non-chump clause is great.

Also, True-Name Nemesis dies blocking this.

Can't even be blocked effectively by true name nemesis!
Def testing, though it may be a little worse than is obvious, can't imagine it doesn't stick for a while

Green finally gets a 4 drop that's great in multiple archtypes. Vigilance and haste is just mean.

I am all for powerful PW removal in the cube. I particularly like that it ignores all the soldiers, zombies, wolves, (some) constructs, satyr's...

100% agree with this statement. This creature is pushed and strong, but it's not going to warp any environments.
