'Plaguespreader'
2B
Creature - Human Shaman
When 'Plaguespreader' enters the battlefield, each player sacrifices a creature or planeswalker. Each player that can't, discards a card.
3/2
Fleshbag Marauder is already a decent creature that was fairly cubeable back in the day, and in the vast majority of cases this new critter will perform much better. I still can't see this sort of effect cracking lists at 450 or below, but is there appetite for a card like Plaguespreader in larger cubes?
Fleshbag Marauder has been in and out of my cube a bunch of times. This critter seems more powerful but I don't want to say it's strictly better because it does give your opponent a choice. What if they have a Jace Beleren and a Consecrated Sphinx? Obviously you want to get rid of the Sphinx, which is something Fleshbag could do, but this guy can't.
Also, this isn't a zombie and one of the coolest lines of play with Fleshbag was to drop it with a Gravecrawler on the field.
Fringe scenarios, sure, but it's not entirely a no brainer swap for those running Fleshbag.

It's not a choice. Unless the translation is wrong (which is possible) the player must sacrifice a creature. If they cannot they discard.
I remember people trying To the Slaughter, and my main disappointment with that card was that the delirium clause was so anemic. But getting that ability on a recurrable creature is serious business, and solves a whole slew of problems that mono-black had in dealing with planeswalkers. The toughness and discard upgrades are more minor, but they’re still real options regardless. Imagine how many situations where Fleshbag sucks and this card is a game-changer.
I think this is going to be a staple, honestly. Maybe even 360 worthy.

It's a choice to sacrifice a creature or planeswalker in that situation is what noshadowkick is referring to. So if they have both a weak PW and a strong creature on board, hitting planeswalkers actually is kinda a disadvantage.
Not sure if I like giving them a target choice in comparison to Fleshbag, and it's also not a Zombie. I don't think I want this; I could just play a 3cc removal spell that kills whichever creature or planeswalker I want.
I am really not sure where I land with this. Fleshbag was always decent but stunk against little creatures and creatureless boards. This is a very big ugrade against a board state that has a lone planeswlaker on it, and an ok upside against empty boards. I just don't think it is enuogh bettter to keep up with the competition.
There will be plenty of games where this just kills their elf or token or the discard is just an extra land. Not worth it for 3 mana to me. And it's not a zombie which is always a bummer. For powered cube I think I would rather play a hero's downfall variant or maybe doomfall.
You must discard a card if he is removed in response to the trigger, if you don't have any other creature.
Also, sometimes your opponent will sac a Planeswalker if he can finish you with his surviving creature.
But apart from that, I guess this card is quite decent.
For multiplayer cubes, this card is very strong. I still have Bone Shredder and Fleshbag Marauder in my cube - and Marauder is much stronger in Multiplayer most of the time, which can not be said for sure in 1vs1.

This card actually doing something when they have a PW in play and no creatures, or when they have no creatures OR PWs in play, plus a second toughness, more than makes up for the few times they will sac a PW when you really wanted them to sac a creature. As far as the zombie clause goes, gravecrawler is the only card I still have that cares about that creature type (and 5 cmc lili's ulti, but PW ultis are pretty unimportant when evaluating a card). Looks like your only additional card is that cares about it is Sarcomancy. While the fleshbag/gravecrawler synergy is nice, that's really the only combo with marauder in most cubes, and we have lots of recurrable threats now.
Not to mention how much better this plays with removal than marauder - if they have a creature and PW in play, you can terror the creature then drop this guy. Pretty good turn.
I think it's easy to say this card is better than marauder in most situations.
All that being said, you nailed it with "why wouldn't I just run good removal" - I haven't wanted Marauder in a long time. Sac outlets also seem to have been getting worse, as we get more armies in a can and creatures with great ETB clauses, and hexproof and shroud creatures are becoming less problematic (I have 2 hexproof and 2 shroud creatures that you REALLY want to have an answer for), and I'm down to 1 edict effect and that rarely gets maindecked. I think this isn't enough better than marauder that I want to bring that effect back.
I don't think it's good enough. I would probably play it if it could act as a discard outlet for the person playing it, but it looks like you would have to always sacrifice the creature itself. Since that is the case I think a removal spell is better.
Yeah if it read "When ~ ETB you must sac a creature or pw or discard a card and each opponent must sac a creature or pw if they don't they must discard a card at random" that would probably do it for me.
I saw this in a rush, I missed the symmetrical part of it lol, thought it was just opponent sacced.. felt too good to be true for uncommon tho.
I still am likely to test it, but much less confident it will be good.. I'm 100% sure (from my experiences with eldest reborn) that sac a Planeswalker or creature is a lot better than sac a creature. Yes there are rare situations where they chose to sac a planeswalker instead of a huge creature that you need dead. But wayyy more often you are playing against a deck light on creatures and this hits a karn or a jace the mind sculptor that can't protect itself. Creature light matchups are not rare in my cube, and they all use planeswalkers.
Why run this over say ruinous path? Well.. this card has a few advantages.
1)2B vs 1BB
2)More tutorable in creature form. Reanimatable afterwards etc
3)Works well with recursive creatures like bloodghast, gravecrawler etc. Death triggers blood artist. (bigger deal in my cube than most)
4)ETB discard if they don't have anything to sac. This has occasional upsides, but in an agressive deck, it's a pretty big deal.. if you are sacrificing something that's worse than a 3/2 body. or that's recursive. Also great if you know the final card in their hand.
Does that make up for all it's drawbacks? I honestly don't know. Outside of black agro or creature midrange, definitly not. Inside of agro/heavy creature decks, for sure. By how much is the question??
I think this is quite a bit better than fleshbag marauder, even in my cube that has zombie synergies... but fleshbag is far from my ondeck binder at the moment.

It's pretty simple Spanish, can confirm it's 100% accurate
