It's rare that a new planeswalker is actually most comparable to Tibalt, the Fiend-Blooded. It's actually more of a sidestep from Tibalt than an upgrade.

I mean for the purposes of Cube, yeah, this card is awful but I can actually see an EDH deck actually wanting him. Comparisons to Tibalt are just ... cruel. Nobody wants Tibalt except the sort of people who enjoy playing Chimney Imp.
hot garbage.... probably unplayable in a dragon tribal deck let alone a normal cube deck.
Mana fixing and ramping in a dragon tribal deck, especially for EDH... this will be fine.
But it's not a cube card.
yeah, I like it in EDH dragon tribal and only edh.
Mana fixing and ramping that cant defend itself and only requires 4 points of combat damage to kill?
Doesnt generate any card advantage?
I would be extremllly surprised if this sees non-edh main deck constructed play, even if dragon tribal becomes a thing in standard.
Woah! I'm amazed by the hate this card is receiving. Usually us cube folks are very objective about things.
I think it has a potential in Dragon themed decks (casual/edh), but that is irrelevant because in cube, it is a hard pass.
I was definitely talking about him in terms of cube, and not in exaggerated terms: he works a lot like Tibalt. The comparison seems pretty apt for once.
To be honest, this card would probably be vaguely playable in my cube, since my power level is so low, and a red deck is quite likely to have at least one dragon. But there's still no real reason to play this over anything-- Even a Tormenting Voice seems better. Again, that's not a dig at the card. I play Tormenting Voice.
Seems like a fun card, not a cube card but this will see play of kitchen tables and dragon tribal EDH. He takes you from 3 mana the turn you play him up to 6 mana if you have a land to play and fixes any colour woes you may have. In a dragon deck he is going to function a lot like a coalition relic most of the time and rummage when you don't need the mana.
We wanted a red Liliana, the Last Hope. Instead we got a red Jace, Cunning Castaway.
Aptly put. I know several dragon decks in my EDH playgroup that will love this guy, but this is a cube discussion so I'm not at all surprised that this Sarkhan is receiving shade. He's poop in cube.
Sarkhan, Fireblood

[+1]: You may discard a card. If you do, draw a card.
[+1]: Add two mana in any combination of colors. Spend this mana only to cast Dragon spells.
[-7]: Create four 5/5 Dragon creature tokens with flying.
My reaction is a resounding 'meh', particularly since red 3s have gotten much better, but if you play a lot of dragons, I guess it's fine?

If not, hard pass. Kind of a shame though, this could’ve been pretty decent with an actual usable second ability.

I mean the first +1 doesn't even loot proper, you have to discard first? Was drawing, then discarding a card too powerful?
What a joke.

Again, he is not cube card but he is definitely no Tibalt, the Fiend-Blooded.

EDIT: Seeing the second ability is a + really warms me up on him, probably more than it should.
