I don't know if I just missed the fact that this card had Warp, or maybe my perception of it was unfairly skewed by Nova Hellkite. But now having seen it in action, Quantum Riddler seems fantastic. It's essentially a Mulldrifter that you get to cast for both of its modes. When you first warp it in, you draw a card plus the ability to hardcast the Riddler on a later turn. Then when you hardcast it, you're getting a 4/6 flier plus another card. And if you're heckbent at this time, you'll draw two cards, which is insane value and not even a particularly unlikely scenario. The extra card draw while heckbent is a static ability, so if the Riddler sticks around it can draw you even more cards. It's just value upon value upon value. We are well and truly in the age of alternate casting costs, and Quantum Riddler seems to further cement that fact.
I also missed that the card has Warp during spoiler season. I think it may the best 5 CMC option in blue - I like the value alternate cast mode of this and Marang River Regent which I newly added in the six drop slot. I think the Mulldrifter comparison is apt, whereas that card's stats don't hold up any longer, this guy is very much on-curve.
This has been blue's best 5-cmc creature by far in my experience, and it's not even particularly close. The warp is essentially a cheaper evoked Mulldrifter that draws into itself and is so much stronger than Mulldrifter when hardcasted since it's actually a durable finisher. It's not hard to draw extra cards each turn once you hardcast it since you have the mana at that point to play multiple spells per turn.

I believe cards need to be efficient in 2025 - I've found getting to 5 CMC can be a tall order.
