As has been discussed in the Skrelv's Hive thread, the "can't block" text is really bad on mites. But a land is quite different from an enchantment.
The activation cost is really quite manageable, and works as an instant. It's by far the most efficient land that can make a creature every turn. The tokens aren't great, and toxic is more of a hassle than anything, however they're artifacts, they hold equipment, and they're great sac fodder.
But the best selling point is the ETB as an untapped rainbow land. Where colorless lands tend to tax your mana base, this can give you access to a crucial missing color in the early game and make a questionable hand keepable.
This seems to have flown under the radar, and most probably aren't interested, but I could certainly see playing it in my kind of environment.
It's definitely not bad, it's essentially a colorless Castle Ardenvale that's cheaper to activate but can't chump block. Not exactly something I'm looking to dedicate a cube slot to, but wouldn't mind playing it in a deck if I saw it in a draft pool.
