This slipped under my radar until I played against it during draft.
The rate on this card is absolutely insane. Being able to punch through for 3 damage in the air starting turn 3 feels completely absurd in any midrange deck that would like to pressure on the opponent life total/ planeswalkers.

It has good stats but Azorius is stacked. I can't see this breaking into the top ~7 cards in the guild. If you really push U tempo/aggro, the value of this guy goes up. Otherwise, I don't think it's that impressive.
I don't think my Azorius decks ever tend to have 5 soldiers attacking. Even an aggressive deck will struggle to have 4 soldiers plus this guy on board. Maybe my cube has more incidental soldiers than I'm able to think of but I still think it's going to happen very rarely.
The stats are good, but I feel like this will just be a French-vanilla beater too often to take a guild slot.
Without the soldier clause it could be an OK token support card, but Azorius has pretty good options so it likely wouldn't make the cut even then.
I might try this over Teferi, Hero of Dominaria. I've found I really want another Young Pyromancer/ Third Path Iconoclast/ Thing in the Ice/ Ledger Shredder for the jeskai spells matter's deck and the stats on this guy is absolutely insane.
