A new green super fattie. This has a swiss army knife of abilities that can get you out of a lot of different scenarios: gets you out of burn range, clogs up the ground, blows up Moat / Skullclamp / gives itself or another creature some form of protection. I might swap out Tovlar's Huntmaster for this to mix things up a bit.
I really like this, as I love Modal cards, but gosh it just seems… boring? No real personality to it outside the Shield counter (which I love and hate because: cool ability + no reminder text). I’ll probably cut Huntmaster for this in the end, though I feel like sometimes the best cards have the least interesting qualities lately.
Finally, a weapon to surpass Metal GearHornet Queen! There's less interesting things you can do with the titan compared to its counterparts, but you should always be satisfied with what you get. I can never figure out how many fatties is too many, so until I do I'll be happy to run this guy.
How do we feel about this vs woodfall primus? Primus is probably a better reanimation target as persist is better than a shield counter, but this does a reasonable impression, is 1 mana cheaper, and can get you 2 bodies immediately and give you a diesnchant.
I'm a fan. Swiss army knife of options, all quite powerful and good at stabilizing in most scenarios.
7/7 reach + trample lines up well with a lot of the big threats in cube and is a game ending sized threat on it's own.
It's not hard to make both ETB options relevant and easily worth a card.
A strong possibility it's better than existing options. If it's worse it's not by much. If it's better , it's not by much. Definitely testing.

Other than mana cost and getting you out of burn range, I think Woodfall Primus is better across the board (at least for my cube since I support a lot of cheaty face strategies).
- Much more powerful early game since it can hit lands.
- Still scales well in the late game, especially since it can hit planeswalkers.
- Is way better with Sneak Attack / Through the Breach / Show and Tell / Eureka.
- Is better against Control Magic effects since it comes back to you with its persist trigger.
I also think I like Terastodon more since most of the arguments above also apply to it. Don't get me wrong, I think this card is pretty damn good, there's just a lot of competition for green's high-end creatures. For me, it's competing with Hornet Queen the most since they have the same mana value and have very defensive qualities to them. This brings more offense and options to the board, is better against sweepers, and doesn't near permanently block you from Oath of Druids.
Pelakka Wurm was a reasonable fatty not that long ago, and this is way better. It’s probably better than Avenger of Zendikar. An argument could be made for this over Terastodon as well. Hornet Queen and Woodfall Primus seem a lot better than this though.
Titan of Industry has been great, its swiss army knife selection of abilities makes it useful for any situation. This and Old One Eye have really helped round out my green super fattie section and allowed me to part ways with Hornet Queen without feeling guilty. Hornet Queen's lackluster offense and being incompatible with Oath of Druids have made it age poorly, IMO.
As far as Woodfall Primus vs Titan of Industry goes, I'm still very in the Woodfall Primus > Titan of Industry camp. Again, it's a much better cheat target in the early game, and its persist ability makes it much more powerful with things like Sneak Attack. That being said, Titan of Industry is no slouch. It can help you out of more sticky situations than Woodfall Primus later in the game, especially when it comes to stabilizing your life total.
I'm in the boat of swapping this in for Hornet Queen, which I've grown to dislike over the years, mostly because of how color pie-breaking it is for green to have a flying creature that also goes wide.

This is where I'm at. Clearly a great card but I'm not sure it breaks through. Actually, that's been the theme of the whole set for me.
Cheers,
