Another strictly better Rune Snag for cube. Probably the worst of the bunch but should still make its way to large enough cubes to achieve sufficient counterspell density. Maybe a U/B deck can get some value off a counterspell that's also a sacrifice outlet.
This is a pretty solid soft counter. As far as Rune Snag variants goes, this is probably #3 in my book after Miscalculation / Lose Focus. I don't think I need it at 540, but would definitely consider it at a larger cube size.
I don't think the two can really be compared. This is better in the early game on curve, but loses its value towards in the mid / late game where Negate would still be useful. Not hitting creatures is fine since creatures are the easiest creature type to deal with on the battlefield. Personally I like Negate more for my cube.
I play a lot of counterspells, but I don't really like it better than any of them. Maybe Mystical Dispute. Nevertheless, I like that this has its finger in the aristocrats strategy. That's the main thing to recommend it.
Card looks good, and I like it more than Negate, personally. Not really comparable cards, necessarily, but I think hitting creatures is super important.
Mana Leak was on the top 50 best Vintage Cube cards.

This is only slightly better than Quench so hard pass for me. Blue isn't exactly known for having a bunch of extra creatures around to sac. I don't even have room for Jwari Disruption or Censor which I like more.
I think this is a fine card, but I'm a bit unhappy about the number of Force Spike style counter magic in my cube as of late.
