3cc white is much more competitive nowadays but this card seems strong in the large cubes. how can we evaluate this Saga, as Brimaz, King of Oreskos 2 turns delayed and card advantage? Thoughts ?
I really like the second act, but the first act having no impact on the board is a bit tough. History of Benalia is probably a lot safer. The creature is quite beastly though. This is a durdly card, as sagas tend to be. But I like it.
FWIW this really over performed my expectations in monoW in the vintage cube. I think it’s worse than adeline but better than brimaz.
Interesting, I’ll revisit this card. Not sure if this card reads “white weenie” to me, but it seems really interesting for the durdly white midrange/control decks.
Rules question: can you return the card you discard in chapter, or must it have a target as soon as the ability triggers?
EDIT (answer), found on Gatherer rulings:
“If you choose to discard a card as The Restoration of Eiganjo's second chapter ability resolves, a second triggered ability goes on the stack and you choose a target for it. Notably, this means you may target the card you discarded if it is a permanent card with mana value 2 or less.”

Good card advantage and ramp.
Too slow for powered imo. Being unplayable in Agro makes it more narrow than a removal spell or a brim az type card.

Compare to Brimaz, a card that is on the edge of not being good enough for medium cubes.
