Another card I've been playing for a while now that looks like it never got a thread. For what is essentially a french-vanilla aura, this thing is really scary.
The ideal setup is to play it on a two-power one-drop on turn two. Doing that removes their early blocker, and often represents 5-15 early damage before they can remove your attacker or mobilize defenses. In my cube, it feels like the aggro equivalent of a big Reanimate on turn two.
Of course this is an aura, and it can get you two-for-oned, or end up dead without a target. But it's not to be underestimated. 3 power is a huge swing for two mana, and needless to say things like lifelink and double-strike can make for big plays.
played it for a bit in the early days of my cube. great for lower power cubes but with a suite of premium removal in high power cubes the 2 for 1 even after getting in for a swing is too great. rancor doesn't even get there these days and that card sticks around.
