Ascendant Packleader
G
Creature - Wolf (R)
Ascendant Packleader enters the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter on it if you control a nonland permanent with mana value 4 or greater.
Whenever you cast a spell with mana value 4 or greater, put a +1/+1 counter on Ascendant Packleader.
2/1
2 power for 1 mana, scales up into the midgame. If you support green aggro, this should be on your radar.
This is a slam dunk. Even if you don't support green aggro this thing is great. This also works with midrange beats, and is a threat that grows. Later in the game this will start as a 3/2.
This is more like it. A great 1 drop that can scale for midrange. I like cards such as Hexdrinker and Kessig Prowler in my green midrange decks as they help to shore up the control matchup. Having green as a possible aggro splash colour is nice too.
LOL, we used to play Jungle Lion. Not everyone likes green aggro, but this does have value in midrange as others have mentioned. And, yes as wtwlf123 pointed out, alternative casting costs cards work great with this. Looks like fun!
This card is great!
Not as good as the really pushed stuff like Hexdrinker and Ragavan, but I think this should be in all 450+ lists and is a consideration even at 360.

The ONLY G 2/1 I still run is Hexdrinker though - and I think that's probably still better in more decks.

This is a great one mana creature for an aggressive strategy , but is a bad card outside of that archetype.

Cards like Experiment One and Two, Hexdrinker, Warden of the First Tree all work in aggro but usable In midrange too.
In late game this can easily be triggered twice the turn it enters the battlefield.
I’m looking at this but is having trouble what to cut. Perhaps Sylvan Advocate
