Yep, that's it so far. Unless they've really been pulling their punches this preview season, this might be the worst set for cube since Dragon's Maze. That said, my wallet doesn't mind the breather after MH2. There's a couple other cards worthy of consideration if you don't mind the dungeon mechanic (venture), but mechanics like Monarch, Learn, or Venture don't appeal to me personally.

Anything following mh2 woulda sucked for cube. It doesn’t help that AFR has a lot of parasitic mechanics and is core set in power level. I can’t remember the last time a core set had multiple staples, it was probably origins. I don’t think I’ll include a single card, maybe portable hole.

I like the manlands alright, but the cycle feels pretty middle-of-the-road, and not that exciting. I might play one or two that I happen to get.

Moon-Blessed Oracle and Oswald Fiddlebender are the most interesting cards in the set to me. Ultimately, it's a set with a lot of parasitic mechanics. I bet it's tons of fun in draft, but I don't like things like the Dungeon mechanic in cube.

Has been now. It's XG, become an X/X. Not great.

Right now, I'm including Portable Hole and watching the red, white, and black manlands. That's it. My bank account will enjoy a breather after the carnage of MH2 and Reefapalooza (a reef aquarium expo) in the same month.

I’m definitely adding:

Red Manland

I’m considering the four other manlands and leaning toward adding green and black but not adding blue and white.

Portable Hole and probably Ebondeath. If Heartless Act survives the update it might get swapped for Power Word Kill as my only Doom Blade variant.

Inferno of the Star Mounts

There have been a few times I've wanted Inferno Titan to be able to swing when it comes out. I won't be cutting it, but alongside seems fine.

I'll be keeping my eyes on the manlands to see how they work out for other people. I've been thinking about increasing the number of lands in my cube in general to increase the number of playables that end up in decks.

@jamis - why temple of the dragon queen? It isn't even a rainbow land.

I'm still settling on adds, but I think people are sleeping on Froghemoth. A second scavenging ooze effect is great and hasty midrange creatures always overperform imo.

Temple of the Dragon Queen is replacing Shimmerdrift Vale. Pretty much a sidegrade. My only dragons are Dragonlord Atarka, Steel Hellkite and Mutavault.

Nothing. Might try one of the creaturelands but IDK.

At 630, I'm currently looking at:
