My thoughts exactly. While this is an overall better creature than Batterskull, the cost difference is huge. I typically don't fetch up Batterskull with an early Stoneforge Mystic due to the blowout risk, and this just exacerbates that blowout risk.
As a Tinker target, I think it's generally worse than things like Ancient Stone Idol and Triplicate Titan since it's better for those types of cards to work with other cheaty face type things than Stoneforge Mystic.

Notably, you would only need to keep the creature in check to which the artifact is attached. For creatures there exist a lot of exile effects.
At first glance I didn't think much of this, but given our push for artifact synergies I think this is pretty close ... I'd slam this if it had lifelink. As it stands I'm on the fence but may test.
Such a cool card, but the combination of keywords and abilities are suboptimal at best. I guess they didn't want any overlap with Batterskull, but that leaves Kaldra Compleate pretty high and dry.

Definitely gonna test. Been searching for a 6-8 mana artifact threat for a long time and nothing has impressed me outside of the old staples. Think it'll end up just short but a chance it plays better than it looks.

No, deathtouch is a static ability where this is a trigger. Think lifelink vs Exalted Angel's "lifelink".
That's what I was afraid of. I was hoping this would be able to effectively "trample over" anything, but it seems not.
As cool as that'd be, I don't think it would push this over the edge or anything. It's still completely unbeatable in combat and will probably take out at least 2 creatures in most scenarios where your opponent is blocking with multiple creatures anyways.
Bumping this thread as I saw this in another cube I was playing and it performed well (not in my deck). Anyone still running this who tested it and what do you think if so? It's a cheap pickup now (down to $5) so thinking about testing it.

Pretty meh on it. For everytime you feel like a god with it, there's 5 other times where it's either stuck in your hand or the token gets picked off by bounce / exile effects or the equipment gets hit by Pest Infestation or something. It fills no necessary void for me besides being a bigger YOLO target for Stoneforge Mystic.
I been thinking about something, does anyone think Godo, Bandit Warlord might be something we could see play nowadays not as an combo piece with Helm of the Host, but a value 6 drop OR reanimator target to tutor up powerful equipments like Kaldra.

I don't see the point when you can just cast / cheat / reanimate any other value 6 drop that doesn't rely on having another very specific card in your deck (and not in any other zone).
