Seems great! Free emergency swords, or a 3/2 for 5 that Swords and has lifelink. Pretty easy include for me. Not quite at Grief levels, but above Subtlety for sure.
I am losing my mind over this card. Force to Plowshares, but it's also a creature. A creature with flash that goes 2-for-1 when it ETBs. A creature that you can recur, flicker, and tutor for. The cards which Solitude bears resemblance to to are all strong, and Solitude has a leg up on all of them. In a set of windmill-slams, this card is the slammiest for me.
Solitude is in the color that is bestatflickeringcreatures. The problem is very few Cubeable flicker effects happen at instant speed. Still seems good as a 5-mana Ravenous Chupacabra with flash and lifelink.
I think this is the best card of the cycle so far. The Evoke mode will be relevant more often than Grief or Subtlety. Guess it's time to add Ephemerate to my cube.

You should, I've been running Ephemerate since MH1 and it's good stuff.
I like this one a lot. This has the best evoke mode by far, and makes a nice 2 for 1 combat trick in the late game. I like this much more than the blue one, although I still think Grief is the best of the bunch since it's the easiest to abuse and is cheaper to hardcast than this one.

Damn I'm pretty sure 3WW flash lifelink swords a guy 3/2 would be a slam dunk, and the game it has against cheaty decks is wild. Easy easy include. I think I like this more than grief.
Card looks fantastic. Looks great in control to slow down aggro early, great in midrange decks as a 2-for-1, and great in aggro to use for free pre or post-Armageddon when you no longer care about card advantage.
Was hoping the white force-creature wouldn't be a 3 or 4 drop, and thankfully this fits the bill exactly. Can't wait to flicker this eot on turn 4 with Restoration Angel too
Seems like between Baneslayer Angel, Clodhoat Ranger, and angel of Invention, BSA is the best to remove for this.
With the increasing ETB value in cube seems Ephemerate is tempting. Or perhaps wizards comes up with a Disenchant Charm with flicker
Planning to move Venser the Sojourner but I think I will let him stick for a while.
I like the way you think! Cube seems to keep moving to ETB triggers plus modal cards. That definitely changes the value of cards like Baneslayer.
I'm not as high as others on this card. I prefer the black and the blue evoke mythics over this one. However I'm going to play it over Lyra and see how it goes. Based on what everyone else is saying I'm likely way wrong. Can't wait to find out!

At what cube size can Ephemerate fit? Or as a general question, what instant flicker enablers can be used with this?
I think it is a slum dunk. A good curve topper, flicker abuse and pitch spell for those blowout moments.
- Bant/ UW Flicker often struggle with interacting with their opponent given their high CMC + flicker generating more card advantage than tempo
- Play vs Draw - Force of Will is unusual in that it rewards the player on the draw. If I'm playing a white deck, I would almost always 2 for 1 myself on the draw to remove a mana dork. I would love to see more designs that favor players on the draw than the play
- Provides interactions vs reanimator/ speak attack. Adds more back and forth
My only concern right now is its impact on aggressive strategies - Do aggressive decks need to focus more on tokens/ aristocrats rather than 1 drops?
