Fireflux Squad
I saw this card floating around in a few legacy decks and got me wondering if anyone here ever tested it. Seems decent in a midrange deck with rabblemasters and possibly in polymorph (not sure if anyone is still experimenting w/ that or not).
I feel like most of my red decks would rather have Hazoret, but it's a neat card and didn't see a thread.
- I don't think this card can belong in the Polymorph deck as it is a low impact 4 drop. If you're looking for redundancy in that archetype, I would try Ilharg, the Raze-Boar
I do think this is stronger than Winota, Joiner of Forces - 4 mana, 4 power haste is a pretty good floor TBH.

I'm actively maintaining a comprehensive article to help explain to new cube players how some complex vintage level cards work in a cube environment. Vintage Cube Cards Explained
I actually want to retract my statement and mention my results from playtesting:
Vintage Cube in particular has become much more efficient than previous years and there is a highest density of low CMC planeswalkers and much lower density of large creatures such as Polukranos, World Eater which is more ideal for FireFlux Squad. I've found Fireflux to be a fairly strong top end in Red Aggro, with comparable stats to Hellrider and can be exceptionally strong with Rabblemaster variants.
The polymorph side has been fairly interesting and I've found there are several shells that is ideal for FireFlux:
- UR Artifacts with Welder/ Thopters and top- end
- White-Red creature combo decks - in particular Spike-Feeder Archangel of Thune
I've haven't had too much success with it in reanimator/ ramp shells as its comparably more difficult to setup.

Koth of the Hammer
Hazoret the Fervent
Chandra, Torch of Defiance
Which are all nightmare aggro top end threats.

I've found the readings on the Winota cEDH primers fairly interesting if you're interesting in this style of card - https://www.moxfield.com/decks/j-0aJlxuOUm9FnKRvJcfZw/primer
