Pretty similar to Izzet Charm minus the loot. Both these effects probably slot a bit better into Izzet than Simic since Green is much more proactive, but they're still two strong effects. I wish this was Rabid Bite instead of fight.
Its another really nice card - well designed and very flexible. But the simic guild is incredibly crowded.

I like the Izzet Charm comparison. This has a stronger Negate tax, but Izzet Charm has two other very strong modes where this only has a second mode that's pretty sub-par IMO. Fight effects on instants have never really worked in high powered environments since they're unreliable and can open you up to a 2 for 1. I do love the design of this card on how it tackles both non-creature and creature permanents, but the removal side is just so weak, IMO.
This set is full of efficient answer spells in guild slots, and they're fantastic options to have. Such cards are never the most exciting guild cards, so playing them or not is just a matter of taste. This is perhaps weaker than Rip Apart or Vanishing Verse, but the removal half isn't weak so much as it's conditional.

Instant (U)
Choose one—
• Target creature you control fights target creature you don’t control.
• Counter target noncreature spell unless its controller pays 3.
Flexible, but sorta situational. Not sure it's worth a guild slot even in larger cubes despite the versatility.

I like Quandrix Command more as well and that card is on the outside looking in too.
