Free sacrifice outlets are very relevant for Persist shenanigans though.

I definitely don’t want this and Falkenrath Aristocrat, but I’m not actually sure it’s worse. It doesn’t have haste, but it’s more likely to grow, and gets out of bolt range after only one tap. It’s at least close enough that I’m willing to test.

I think this is worse than Falkenrath Aristocrat, and even supporting both Aristocrats and the persist combo, I don't think I want/need both. Fine card though. It also can't sacrifice itself to dodge exile/feed Blood Artists.

I would rather be able to get counters out of any creature and not just humans, but eh. I also enjoy the utility that comes with this dragon that Aristocrat does not have.

I like that this grows from protecting itself and attacking. I don't support aristocrats. I guess I'll try this one.

Fully agree. Aristocrat goes perfectly in aggro while this doesn't, they both go in, well, aristocrats and with the lines those decks take to win the +1/+1 counters probably aren't a huge deal, and the incidental GY hate doesn't make up for the fact that this is a bad aggro 4-drop.
