Quakebringer 3RR
Opponents can't gain life.
At teh beginning of your upkeep, ~ deals 2 damage to each opponent. This ability triggers only if ~ is on the battlefield or if ~ is in your graveyard and you control a Giant.
Fortell 2RR
5/4
my first impression was this wasn't quite good enough. But then putting it in the context of Sulfuric Vortex on a stick for 2 more mana, with an optional fortell casting cost, with incidental giant interactions. Having the flexibility of paying 4 mana vs 5 mana can be a big deal and allows for cutting an additional land in some decks. I am not 100 % sold on him since there is no evasion and loses to the vindicate test, but having a flexible casting cost, and having some interaction by simply sitting in the GY makes me want to give it a test run at least. If we can get 1 or 2 more giants that are in the 2-3 casting range (also wouldn't mind a 1 mana 2/1 giant) this could start to see some play.
Cards like this are why I love changelings. It can feel unfair if you're triggering from the graveyard, but you have to work for it. It's a mean card, but not to overpushed for a cube like mine, since it can just be removed fair and square. I'm interested, but it's a mythic, and I don't tend to end up with most mythics.
I'm interested in this one, but we'll see how it plays out. In addition to the cards JinxedIdol mentioned, I still run Mirror Entity, and we might get some playable changelings/giants in this set also. I think that'll make or break it for me, but I'm optimistic.
I’m on the fence with this one. My gut feeling is that it’s missing something to make it good, perhaps being smaller than a 5/4 in exchange for costing 2RR and foretelling for 1RR. It’s on the watchlist though, as the foretell ability might play a little better than I’m envisioning, since you’re often not curving perfectly from 1 to 4 and can sometimes exile it on turn 2 or 3 with certain hands.
I am not feeling this card at all. Aggro decks in my cube are rarely interested in 5-drops, especially 5-drops that don't have haste or impact the board immediately. The comparison to Vortex also doesn't seem great. Part of the strength of vortex is that it is so hard to remove for most decks and that it gets around creature removal and sweepers. This seems very easy to remove for most decks and fails the vindicate test completely, with the trigger being on your own upkeep. In addition it only has 4 toughness, so it also can't be played as a finisher in Wildfire-decks. The triggers-from-the-graveyard looks sort of cool, but the number of giants in my cube is so low that it is close to flavor text. If I add in more changelings it might improve slightly, but then you still need to get this into your GY and keep a giant in play over several turns for a 2 damage a turn ping, which seems like jumping through a lot of hoops for a small reward.

I am also a pass on this card. Sweet abilities, but it's too expensive. My 5 drops in red win on the spot or provide immediate value - think Glorybringer or Thundermaw Hellkite. The benefit of Sulfuric vortex is that it's really hard to get off the board as an enchantment. This card working in the graveyard with some extra steps is neat, but not supported in traditional cubes.
