Card looks incredible to me, drawing parallels to Miscalculation and Supreme Will. I have enjoyed playing the previous two cards and have no intentions to cut them, and am ready to add another modal counterspell/card draw spell to the mix. Thoughts?

Yeah, seems pretty good to me.

Kind of like a supreme will that scales.
You'd want this in conjunction with cheaper spells, but the card does a lot.

I think this is the best of the counterspells that cost 1UU. I'm no longer running any of those, but if I was, I'd test this in that place.

In one card it allows you to hold up for a counter, or play a good card if they don't play something you want to counter. That's swell. But I'm not convinced this is actually better than Power Sink, which I'm still happy to play.

This is worse than Supreme Will/Miscalculation at 1UU, and it's passable at 2UU - but then it's competing with the likes of Cryptic Command and Mystic Confluence. Probably a pass for me.

I think this is only slightly worse than Supreme Will which is a very popular card in our group. It’s better than any non-Forbid 1UU Counterspell. I like it and will test it over Disallow.

If I were running any 1UU counterspell besides Forbid, I'd exchange it for this. It's really good. Like everything else in this set, I think it falls just outside my 465 card cube.

Got to draft with this card last night, got picked up by someone drafting UW control, and they ended up going 3-0. They got to cast this four or five times, and said it was pretty good. Not insane or anything, but that double X cost makes this basically a hard counter past turn three, and although the card draw is worse than it looks, for 5 mana it's already basically a Jace's Ingenuity so having access to that strapped to a pretty decent counterspell is super solid.
