I always wanted a colorless Horizon Canopy and this is 95% there. Might give it a whirl if I find space, seems really nice if you support colorless matters.
It's one of those cards that I like but just aren't sure about. It slots into any non aggro deck nicely and it's ability synergies with its restriction since you are most likely to want to cycle it when you have 5 or more lands anyway, but it feels like the kind of card that gets 10th picked because everything else in your colors is gone and this can theoretically be played. Not bad, but not exciting.

Isn't it best in aggro decks? Those are the ones that often have the best mana (mono-colored) to support colorless lands and want flood protection. I think if your manabase can support a colorless land, then you play this >90% of the time. That isn't true about cards like Mutavault and Mishra's Factory because they don't necessarily help with your gameplan in a meaningful way. But at the same time, it's rarely going to be crucial to a deck like Mutavault and Mishra's Factory can be.
This all adds to a card I'm willing, but unexcited, to test.
Neat. Boring, but neat. My colorless lands section is becoming extremely tight at 540. I doubt I can find room for this, but I do think it's worth testing.
The 5 or more lands bit actually irks me, because the decks that want this the most tend to try and operate with few lands. I would play this if the C mattered, but at face value, I think it's a miss.
This is a little short for a colorless land for me. I would play it without the five lands restriction, but even still it probably wouldn't be for most cubes.
I feel that this is SO much worse than one of the 6 horizon canopy lands we have right now.
Not only do those fix for two colors (and I don't really care about the pain in vintage cube, where games are quick) but the sacrifice has no conditions for canopy lands, which is key for aggro and combo decks.
50% of the time when this gets turned on in vintage cube, the game is already over.
I'm more critical about colorless producing non basics than most, so this one doesn't come close for me.
It's a fine card, but I wouldn't consider it until I already included mutavault, blast zone, mishra's factory and throne of the high city.
Which is tons already.
