This may end up being too inefficient, but I think it is at least worth discussing. Into the Roil has been a solid cube performer for a long time and we are willing to pay a 1U kicker to draw an extra card. Is being able to give all of your instants and sorceries a 2U kicker worth trying?

That's pretty neat. Not sure if it cracks its way into a very tough blue section, but adding 2U - Draw a card to all your instants and sorceries is pretty nice.

Wish it drew for 1, this would be nice as sort of an upgraded Whispers of the Muse. As it sits it’s just too clunky for us I think.

Back in the day in a slower format I think this card would be bonkers.

Now... probably too mana intensive to make it as an engine.
I imagine this card will be stupid in normal limited.

I'm in agreement. Sadly, the splice is one mana too expensive.

Is it time for an include/testing thread yet? We have all mythics and rares at this point and, presumably, most of the spicy uncommons.

I think drawing for 1U is the sweet spot, at U I think it would be be too pushed. At 1 all your cantrips, free spells or even most 1 mana spells plus this become a solid draw engine.

Plus, I think storm would break magic in half if it added "U: draw a card" to all its cantrips and rituals.

I think he means the casting cost, not the splice cost. Costing 2 to hardcast is pretty expensive.

Ah, I see. That would definity make more sense.

I wish this was U to cast, 1U to splice. Oh well.

Whispers of the Muse looks a lot better to me.
