MTG Salvation

As unappealing as it is to change all basics to snow basics, I think there's enough payoff to seriously consider Snow Basics. Between this, the new Chained to the Rocks, Ice-amaru and Snow-Strix, there are small rewards in different colours and archetypes!

I definitely feel like testing is required. Most cube decks like to run a fair few non-basic lands. I feel like there will be plenty of games where this will only give -1/-1 on curve. Obviously you can build your deck however you want, but can you see actually playing this in a 3 color deck with 6+ non basic lands? I have a hard time seeing it be worthwhile. The ceiling of a 3 mana sweeper that can give -3/-3 on curve and scale up as the game progresses is pretty great, but you can't just toss it in every control deck that runs black.

I am going to test a "snow package" and this will be part of it. Pretty much I will treat all my lands as snow lands and throw these cards in the Cube.

Once the set is fully spoiled I would like a thread that discusses all current and previous snow relevant cards.

Considering that cubes used to run Mutilate, this card doesn't seem that far off.
That said, for smaller cubes already running Damnation, Languish, Toxic Deluge, and Living Death, another sweeper might not really be necessary.

For large cubes, I think this is likely the fourth best black mass removal, ahead of Night Incarnate and Bontu's Last Reckoning

This seems MUCH better than Bontu’s Last Reckoning. We’re excited to try this card in 720.
