Theres really only one reason to consider this guy. He's a 2/3 flier for 2 mana! The granting your lands hexproof and shutting down their Crucible shenanigans isn't entirely flavor text either, but its a marginal effect at best.
I mean, it's not exactly hexproof on your lands. It also stops them from targeting their own lands and from using Loam to return lands from their graveyard to their hand, but it's still pretty marginal in cube. I'm not sure a 2/3 flier is worth WW, but it's at least worth considering? I'm not sure what 2-drop I'd be happy to cut for this.
I'm surprised to see a thread on this guy. A 2/3 flying for WW seems below rate for even a weaker environment like my cube. This is cool as a hatebear, but I don't see a reason to play this unless you want the hate ability. My sister loves hatebears, so I might end up playing it, but it has very little to do with giving Leonin Skyhunter +0/+1.
A 2/3 flying for 2 mana is the best we have ever had. We all used to run stormfront Pegasus and Mistral Charger. This is so much less susceptible to burn than Soltari Monk or Trooper, although I still like Trooper a lot. I think it’s a very solid card and worth testing.
It also gives your mishra factories, celestial colonades hexproof. Shuts down thespian stage, titania. Good enough to play if you want to, but I'm not so sure I want to murder the loam deck that already struggles to stay competitive
