Probably not for cubes that thoroughly support agro, but man is this card powerful. Tripple black is super awkward for a lot of decks that could combo off with this.. but I imagine if in the perfect deck, this card can do some very disgusting things.

Not testing at the moment, but see some sleeper potential in it.

Yeah, this card is awesome. For awesome cardness, this is the kind of thing I lived for as a kid. Way more Timmy awesome than any of the planeswalkers.

I can guarantee this card is playable in my cube, but I don't know if I'll ever end up with a copy. It's the kind of card that people say is cool and quirky and then is $50 in a few years.

My cube doesn't need this card, but it's just so cool. I'll definitely play it if I end up with a copy.

Do you think the card is cubable if you'd bring it into play with Show and Tell? It could help cheat decks.

Good news, then! It's the Draft Weekend promo, so it should be fairly accessible.

I feel like I'm in the same boat as Mergatroid_Jones. My cube doesn't need this card, but I'll probably throw it in and see what people do with it.

I'm kind of surprise that there isn't more conversation on this card. Isn't it just a sweet Welder/Tinker target?

I opened this during the prerelease, and it was absolutely insane. If I were cubing Yawgmoth's Bargain, I would test this in that place. But I'm including Necropotence and am not going to try swapping this in since Necro fits better into Dark Confidant shells and not just combo/control. It is a very good card, though, and I could see this slotting well into some cubes, especially those that support storm.

I want to revisit this. After playing a lot of Vintage with this card I’ve seen that it can be a generically awesome card and not just for Storm killing. Is anyone running it?

I'm playing it, and it's good in Storm, Tinker/artifact.dec shells and as a midrange curve-topper if your deck has a low mana curve in general.

This card is nuts in storm, especially if you are running the 0 costed Moxes and Yawgmoth's Will

Just wanted to hear some opinions about Bolas' house today, especially in a cube without storm. Until now its fun factor has won me over every time, although there are countless other candidate tinker targets that can work in other decks as well as being more hardcastable. I've also noticed that it has left many other cubes. Wondering why you decided to cut it.

We played it for about a year, and it didn’t pull its weight in our non-Storm Cube. It’s a cool card for midrange-y “dragon-style” Cubes, but the typical Vintage Cube feels too fast and efficient for this card to do serious work without Storm support.
