Feel free to share your 3-0 (or more) decks that won your drafts!
I was able to archive all our saved 3-0 decks into Imgur for people to see. Will update regularly, have 73 decks and counting from our Discord Group: https://imgur.com/a/KxQwT
Best way to search for a specific deck is use the search function (ctrl+F) and type in whatever color combination you're looking for (formatted as follows):
Mono Red
Selesnya
Grixis
Four-Color
Five-Color (currently there are no five-color decks in the 3-0 archives)
it's been a long time since i've taken any statistics classes, and cube is about the feel and what drafters like more than anything, but i like messing around with spreadsheets and pretending i can find meaningful results. i'm always interested in seeing what data other cube managers look at and taking suggestions to add to my own.
if you see anything that doesn't make sense or have any suggestions i'd love to hear them.
i appreciate the compliment, you have no idea. i lurk around here quite a bit but rarely comment. the last time i brought this kind of data collection up it was mostly dismissed. luckily for everyone cubetutor does pretty much everything in terms of cube sorting and organization, but i wanted to try to find something meaningful from my group's cube drafts. i don't get people together to draft nearly as often as i'd like, so fiddling with a spreadsheet is one of the main ways i get to interact with my cube.
after every draft my friends fill out a piece of scrap paper with their name, the name of their deck (which i'll normally tweak to match an existing archetype if it's previously been drafted), their record, and up to 3 cards that they think were exceptional. usually we all discuss it and people will give opinions on other decks as well, in case there is a card they feel was really good against them, but the person playing the card might not have realized how important it was (for example, "i was about to stabilize, but avalanche riders kept me off my mana just long enough for you to get there") but the final choices are made by the deck builder.
on my individual card scores impact cards get extra points. i don't really have a scientific method for the number of extra points each instance of being an impact card is, right now i divide it by the total number of instances of impact cards and multiply by 5000, which works out to ~24 bonus points added to the card's final score at the moment. i'd like to keep that number around 25-50 points, as it gives a little boost to the cards that players are enjoying, but doesn't skew the card's overall score greatly for cards that have been impact cards multiple times. i plan to reset that column every so often or once a card reaches some number of instances of being an impact card.
again, this is my completely unscientific method, but i really wanted input on cards my drafters liked, and i wanted that input to have an impact on card scores.
Excellent work on the spreadsheets here! It's awesome!
I've also work myself on specific datas recently, collecting every pick and pass of the cube so you could determine what are the best and most played/drafted card card in the cube. I'll see if I can share it to you with an online spreadsheet and edit my post afterward.
There it is. Draft%, MD% et Win% are missy since you have to lower the number after dot to actually see them. I've fix the white and blue sheet on it, but for the others you'll have to dit by yourself if you interested!
(Sorry, I know this thread was originally meant for 3-0 cube list and that I do now collaborate to shift it thrue Spred Sheets & Data stuff, but it was too tempting to share)
Shuflw, your charts are amazing. Excellent work, and thanks for sharing.

Draft my cube: Eric's 390 Unpowered
I drafted the MTGO Vintage cube (league) 5 to 10 times while it was in rotation. I only went 3-0 once, and with the following deck
Match 1: White Weenie.
Game 1 Toxic Deluge killed their first two threats at the cost of 2 life, and Control Magic stole their followup Mirran Crusader. A handful of removal kept the board clear after that
Game 2 Hymn takes 2 cards from them, Liliana sacs their only creature, and Hostage Taker steals Jitte. After that, they cant keep a threat on the board.
Match 2: Dimir Reanimator/control
This was pretty much the mirror, but they were slightly deeper on the reanimator plan than I was. Game 1 they Entomb Grave Titan, I counter the reanimation spell, Reanimate Grave Titan on my turn and Phantasmal Image it.
Game 2 They get some good early pressure down. I control Magic Grave Titan the turn after they cast it, and try to clear the board with removal, but their Nezumi Graverobber proves to be too much to handle
Game 3 we had some resource wars at the beginning (hymns, removal, counterspells). Eventually, they attempt to cast Grave Titan, I counter it, and reanimate it, and they're out of gas.
Match 3: Grixis Reanimator
Game 1 they kitesail freebooter taking a removal spell. I image it taking a reanimation spell. Turn 6 I cast Wurmcoil Engine and that's good enough
Game 2 They reanimate Atarka killing my Looter il kor and Liliana. I cast wurmcoil, which they take with Hostage Taker. I image the atarka killing their non Atarka creatures, then use a removal spell on Atarka. The game ends with them having nothing in play and I have Ararka and Wurmcoil.
This was the first time I got to play Hostage Taker ever, and was incredibly impressed. I also liked this style of deck in the cube. Everyone was attempting to do broken things, while this deck just played efficient answers with a little ways to grind out Tempo and Card Advantage.
went 2-0 in a 3-person draft with monoblack stax this weekend. missing actual smokestack, but i got pretty much everything else i could have dreamed of. t2 braids is hard to beat, busted mana rocks are busted, crucible strip mine is always fun, and masterful ninja showed up in a few games to deal early damage and then get clamped for no mana investment. probably my favorite stax deck i've drafted, was sad i only got to play 2 matches.
-Hostage Taker stealing/casting Crystal Shard and then bouncing the HT to steal the rest of his rocks/creatures.
-Opponent plays Show and Tell revealing Elesh Norn, I reveal Treachery FTW.
-I tap 7 for Battlesphere leaving up only Academy, which now taps for 6 (1 rock in play), which lets me counter with Mystic Confluence the Fractured Identity that was going to exile/copy my Battleball.
-Opponent plays Show and Tell revealing Elesh Norn, I reveal Treachery FTW.
This actually doesn't work. They're put into the battlefield at the same time and you have to choose a Treachery "target" (note that it's not actually targeting in this scenario) as it comes into play, which means the Elesh Norn isn't a valid "target" yet. This works differently with Eureka since things are entering the battlefield one at a time.
I believe this is / was a bug on MODO where it would work as you described, but that's not how it works within actual rules context.
3-0 Natural Order/Reanimator/Recurring nightmare
Decided to post this deck to highlight what I think is the strongest recurring nightmare variant. When you can combine it with Natural order.
My latest 3-0.
- Explosive power from both reanimation and natural order
- Capable of hardcasting most of it's targets, makes it easier to fight through disruption.
- Toolbox of creatures that can "answer" a variety of situations.
- Absurd card advantage of recurring nightmare
1) S&T + Elesh + Sower = S&T resolves, Sower's trigger goes on the stack, Sower dies from Elesh's -2/-2 (state based action), trigger resolves (and does nothing) and opponent keeps Elesh (because the trigger did nothing).
2) S&T + Elesh + Hostage T = S&T resolves, Hostage T's trigger goes on stack, Hostage T is a 0/1, Hostage T exiles Elesh if I want it to.
I have about 4 to 5 years worth of 3-0 lists written on paper from our near weekly draft group. I live in a place too rural for the internet so I dont get on the forums too often. But I will start to dump them here
This is a breakdown of my 3-0 in cube from sept. 2016 to the present. 720 unpowered. Upon requests I can submit some 40 card lists, but its more than I want to type out in the moment.
