Seeing a lot of P1P1 discussions via Twitter / Reddit / MTGS, I've started to notice a lot of people liking to P1P1 mana dorks. Strong picks in my book, but I think it's a bit of an overrated P1P1 in a lot of the P1P1 scenarios I've seen.
Pack of the day, what's your pick?
Mind Stone for me, surprised no one else considered this even with Seal and Academy.
Following that, that one's a bit tough. I want to say Coldsteel, but I'm less keen on first picking that mana rock. I love Wurmcoil and Primetime, but I think I'd still end up going with Coldsteel.

Mana rocks are very replaceable, not worth wasting a P1P1 on something so generic unless there aren't any better options, IMO.
Rolfellos is the most attractive card in that pack, but I can see myself taking the Elspeth and hope the Purphoros wheels. There’s a lot of token support going on in that pack.
Thragtusk since it's good in so many shells and really splashable, then damnation because it's good as a wrath and black can mitigate losing their own creatures to wraths the best, and then wooded foothills since I'd want to be more open with the pick if I don't have the first two to choose from and none of the rest of the cards really blow me away.
I like Damnation here, but possibly meloku. Getting a GWU lands deck could be really cool and it looks like there might be enough support in the cube for it.
Am I nuts for looking really hard at Kodama's Reach? My inclination is that or Ajani Vengeant. Land Tax wheels all day long in my group.

I think the most correct picks are either land tax or the fetch, but I like the sound of taking the legionnaire and forcing mono color aggro in the color of the next 2/1 for 1 I see.
Damnation is always a good way to pull me into control. Fiery Confluence is also similar in that regard, but can be parlayed into other archetypes as well. And Land Tax is just dumb... I'd probably go with Damnation from that pack and go the control route.
