The idea of just playing the back sides has been floating around on reddit for a while now. I think several of these might be too good if we did this. Maze of Ith or Gaea's Cradle that can also tap for a mana? Primal Wellspring and Conqueror's Foothold are ridiculous value if you start with that side. The Diamond Valley one (black land) might be fine.

I've seen a lot of cubes add the backside Itlimoc, cradle of the sun and Vault of Catlacan with "PLAY THIS SIDE" on the card and they been an absolute blast. They're incredible with helping unfair decks operate without having to rely on subpar enablers/ ramp.
My play group was really happy to be able to potentially open multiple Cradles/ Tolarian which were lynch pin for a lot of strategies.

I considered to use it as a proxy for Cradle, like many others I guess. However Vault and Itlmic are strictly better than cradle and academy (if you play only those sides) because it can still produce mana while having no creature / artifact in play. Never considered to add those alongside cradle and academy... but why not...
