Reach is likely to be important more often than changing colors, so it's a pretty clear minor improvement over Wild Mongrel. However, if you control this at the same time as Ophiomancer you won't be getting any Snake tokens.

Colorshifting won't matter if you don't have protection from <color>. Since protection cards is largely reduced in a lot of cubes including mine, this is better than Mongrel. I need to see what I have in my cube, that I would want a second Mongrel though.
I think reach is going to be relevant more often, unless you're running an unusually high number of color protection creatures/effects. I don't think I want two of these, so I'll be replacing Wild Mongrel with this. However, keep in mind that if you control this at the same time as Ophiomancer it won't make any Snake tokens.

Seriously though, now's a great time for those who've never played with Wild Mongrel to get acquainted. This is a fantastic addition for all cubes, all sizes.
I'm leaning towards replacing Mongrel. I don't think two of this effect is needed at 540. The nombo with Ophiomancer is kind of a bummer, but that's such a corner case that doesn't really matter.
As far as I can tell, Bone Shredder and Nekrataal are the only guys in my cube the Mongrel really dodges anymore; I think the Reach will also be more relevant as I eventually shift from shadow creatures to newer flyers, such as that recently spoiled 2/1 for 1W.
I would actually prefer more exciting cards than this to update my cube with, but I'll take it. Still not sure if I kick out Mongrel or a different card for it, though.
Question for me is: Mongrel replacement or addition? Is Reach or the color-shifting more valuable?
I would never put the family dog down, how dare you even suggest that.
Its the humane thing to do.
(IMO it's probably better to have reach versus changing colors as I believe there are more fliers you would want to block vs. colors you want to avoid/be)
Also worth mentioning: this being mono green allows you to alleviate Lotleh Troll in the Golgari section.
That is an excellent point! I may just run this next to Mongrel and run Abrupt Decay again instead of Lotleth Troll. Will have to consider. This thing definitely doesn't beat out mongrel in the art department though...
I would think that any Cube that wants Mongrel would want this in addition to Mongrel. I personally like Mongrel quite a bit, but my players complain that it's not good enough. It's an interesting card because I feel like maybe the Cube forums overvalue Mongrel while my players also undervalue it.
Second coming of Wild Mongrel!?
Edit: forgot to post name, can a mod insert it please, lol.

Regardless, I'm probably going to run both at 540.

...all I can think of is this:
Those are raw chicken nuggets btw.
Mongrel doesn't make it into all our green decks as is, so I wouldn't want to run two. At the largest cube sizes I would though.

Reach maybe puts it over the top, but I dunno... So many cubeable 2 drops in green all of similar power level.
Obviously a slam dunk to people who still run mongrel.
